Robbed, absolutely 100% robbed. On course for a well earned point away at Corinthians when that poor excuse of a referee awarded a penalty for them for what was a dive, barely any contact at all. Add in their diving about, dangerous tackles and I now know why people hate them. Dirty little fucks. Seriously pissed off right now.

All in all a good start to the new season, football is actually back and we can hopefully start to forget about stupid rumors and concentrate on the actual game.

Tomorrow City vs Newcastle.
Haven't seen any of there pre-season games just to make Game number 1 even more special. Putting City to win 4 - 0 if they play good and 2 - 1 if they don't. Maybe a 1 - 0 but regardless of the score I just want them to win.

City really did beat up Newcastle.I was expecting like a 2-1 or a 1-0,but a 4-0 is pretty big.

I have a question for Arsenal fans.
Do you want Wenger to leave? Sure, the club's always among the best and it's generating a lot of profit but is that enough to excuse the severe lack of titles?

Seems to be a heavy topic this season.

I guessed right a 4 - 0 victory!! Should have been five but alas we still won!

I can't speak for Arsenal fans out there, but personally, i would prefer Wenger to do the same role as SAF is doing now, that is working behind the scene of the club, that way, club could get a new start with a new manager, while Arsenal will still be a stable club because Wenger has a hand in transfer dealings and a lot of other stuffs, and the lack of titles are not as severe as most people say, before 2011, Arsenal always come close to winning a trophy ( ex : UCL final on 2006, Carling final 2010 - 2011, we would have won the league on 2008 if it wasn't for that fuc*ing tackle on Eduardo )

I'm an Arsenal fan and i don't want him to leave, a lot of fans are very VERY quick to tell him to leave. Lots of other clubs cycle through way too many managers and it messes with the club, i don't want that happening to Arsenal.

Wenger is stubborn, good but very stubborn. I like him a lot and what he has done for the club has been fantastic. He trains young players up, makes them loyal to the club and has success with such a young team. Rather than Man cities and Chelsea’s decisions to spend lots of money and become contenders, Arsenal have gone through another route which I prefer.

The only issue is that Wenger didn't pay players high enough wages so they left; we lost Fabregas, nasri, Van persie and nearly walcott because of this.

I don't want him to leave but he needs to spend money on a strong defence and a good second team.

I completely agree with you, this is one of the reasons I like Arsenal. It's not just an artificial club that's throwing around it's massive budget. Though it's starting to get funny how you always get so close to winning a trophy and then just let it slip away.

But props to Wenger for keeping the club among the best in the league even though every season he loses his key players to Arsenal's rivals.

Tottenham rumoured to be getting Willian, Lamela and Coentrao. If that happens, definite top four and challenging for the title.

If they can adapt to the PL, plus getting those three means that Bale is definitely gone. The question is can Willan and Lamela make up for Bale?

Damn, these are really good options.

Coentrao's probably going, even told RM he wants to leave already. Not really surprising since he's too good to be sitting on the bench.

Lamela'd be a huge improvement over Lennon who's just a pace demon imo. What Erik does in the attack is sometimes magic.

The hole on the left midfield left by Bale's gonna be pretty hard to replace, though Willian was dominating at Shakhtar. I still wish Bale would stay though, I love seeing him in the BPL.

Personally, I don't think Bale's going to make it in Madrid. He won't be able to live up to the hype and that ludicrous amount of money involved in the deal. (Where does Real take the money from anyway? Probably by making debts, which should be totally made illegal...)

He's not there yet, though I think they offered around 86 million euros for him. So yeah, another broken record on the way.

Nothing official but Tottenham are getting two attacking midfield players so it looks like they agreed a price with madrid but said just wait until we can get a couple of players in to replace him then you can have him. Plus it looks like they are getting Coentrao who is probably a make weight in the deal.

German media is talking about 109(!) million euros plus Coentrao. If it's true this is just totally ridiculous, especially in today's times.

only with the mediocre squad wenger still can bring arsenal go to the big four so impossible to sack wenger, if arsenal sack wenger of course they must have so much money to bring a new player and u know arsenal cant do that cause the owner really2 stingy

Fully expecting a win tonight. 4-0 is my (slightly) optimistic prediction. Emineke, Sow x2 and another beauty from Meireles. Never been a better chance to beat Arsenal. We beat teams better than or as good as them last season (Benfica, Marseille) so we should be able to win.

I also think Fenerbache will win, but 4 - 0 is a bit too optimistic IMO. I'm predicting a 3 - 1 win.

I don't think it's too optimistic. Arsenal have a poor defense which we can punish if we take our chances. Am worried that we will concede though, if Gökhan remains out we will be in trouble.

I think you guys are underestimating Arsenal. They may be going through a rough period at the moment but they are still a top side. I think the match will be a lot closer than you think. Maybe 2-1 to Arsenal or a 1-1 draw. We also have some BPL action tonight as Chelsea take on Aston Villa. Will be a good game Villa played well last time out against Arsenal. But I think we have what it takes to beat them. I am going for a 3-1 to Chelsea.

As long as our defence doesn’t push up too much we should be fine, but we are suffering from a lot of injuries and now another one. By the end of season the entire team is going to have bandages above their eyes.

Absolutely fucking dreadful. Never turned up, wrong tactics (Emenike on the bench, WTF?), preventable second goal, never a penalty for the 3rd goal. Same old, same old in reality.

How was it not a pen?? Walcott was in front of the full back who tripped him up without getting the ball.

Was there contact? Yes then it was a pen, doesn't matter if it was barely or if he punched him, there was contact thus its a pen especially as the defender got no part of the ball, if he got the ball then took out Walcott it would not have been a pen. But contact plus not getting any of the ball means it's going to be a penalty all day long. It's been that way in football for ever.

It was a penalty, there was more than enough contact on Walcott and the defender didn't get close to the ball. Even if there was 'barely' any contacted he still didn't get to the ball. Walcott had a chance at goal so because of that it counts as a penalty at the very least on a technical level.

Chelsea hi-jacking Spurs' deal for Willian. I mean, Chelsea only have: Mata; Oscar; Hazard; Schurrle; De Bruyne; Ramires; Lampard; and Moses, so they are obviously in dire need of another midfielder.

Oh my good god, why have we brought him???? Man this is seriously pissing me off. It could be that I am over thinking this but I have a feeling that buying Willian has paved the way for Mata to go to United as part of the Rooney deal. I love Jose but if he gets rid of Juan Mata I don't think many chelsea fans will be too happy.

I hope that's just another one of Mou's arrogant statements. If Willian went to Chelsea's bench instead of Spurs' first team, he'd make a bad dicision imo.

Unless Mourinho sends more players out on loan, though I don't see the point in doing so, the squad he has now is good enough for first team football.

Just let AVB have his revenge and kick Chelsea's ass :'(
