| Umm...when I hear the worth "myth" I think of "myths and legends", as in Ancient Greek stories and whatnot. I think a better word for this would be "superstition" or "old wives' tales"? I kind of do. We had plenty in my native country and it eventually got drummed into me, I guess. |

| In an old town where I grew up there was a huge rock where we used to gather after raiding the sweet shop, we'd sit on top of it and watch the traffic down below, in the right season we'd play conkers and collect grasshoppers. On the face of the rock a long rebar jutted out of it, around the back was a concrete slab with the initials A.J crudely scrawled on it's surface. There was a tale we used to tell of a young boy called AJ who went out to pick grasshoppers alone, he was chasing one reluctant grasshopper along the edge of the rock when it hopped onto the rebar. Determined to get him AJ climbed down onto the rebar with a sheer drop below him when the rebar gave way, the rebar itself was a lever which split open the rock, it sucked him inside and closed itself over marking his name as a record of it's first victim. Every day we went we checked if any new names appeared on the slab and anytime anyone even hinted at going near the rebar everyone would get as clear from the rock as possible. I don't believe in any myths no, but I did. I do however still enjoy them. |

| I guess myths like old chinese ones probably not Urban legends can sometimes be true old wives tales are bullsheet Stories of like creation (ie. Romulus and Remus in Rome) have some truth to them (they teach values to the young) but i don't think they're 100% true. |
