Still don't get how they defeat Geil, maybe the manga will explain it in detail.

Aside from some minor cosmetic details, the emperor and hanged man fights were pretty much identical to the manga/tv version. I do wonder though what the thought process was on making Enya into a different young woman. Or is that just what she looked like when she was younger? These are the important questions that I feel will never be answered.

The lady at the end looks about 30. She's J. Gail's mother? Like, literally? He looked about 60.

Pretty solid adaption of the Hanged Man arc, they played it pretty much straight so it was bound to be enjoyable. This was the always one of the strongest fights in the first half of Stardust Crusaders (probably second to Death 13 personally) so it was for the best that they mostly kept it the same.

DAMN it I was NOT prepared to watch someone from the main cast die. 😤 I mean, Avdal of course. I’m still hung up about that.

But it was INCREDIBLY satisfying seeing J. Gail’s death.

STILL, the fact that that one woman tugging on Jean-Pierre’s leg distracted ALL FOUR OF THOSE GUYS (Jean-Pierre, Jotaro, Joseph, and that other guy) from Hol Horse… and the fact that Hol Horse made it off of the ground (despite being surrounded by four beefy men) and onto his motorcycle in a SPLIT second and got away ………. that is the biggest fallacy I’ve seen from this series by far. That’s just too plot-convenient. How is that even possible. Smh. That’s an error on your end JoJo staff.

Anyone else think the Hanged Man is very similar to Haku from Naruto? They both have similar reflective abilities.
If there's nothing to do, do nothing.

Wakamoto's voice kinda fits Hol Horse's personality IMO, the pompadour and sour foxiness goes well with Wakamoto's deep, pompous voice.

And the soundtrack with Hanged Man fight is brilliant, infusing Indian Classical and serious cinematic guitars pretty artistically. For one thing, I can say that they did pushed a good lot of bucks into the soundtrack and I fuck with it.

Polnareff decides to leave.
Kakyoin shot Emerald Splash.
They escaped.
Dat elbow to the face.
Hanged Man is in the car.
In the kids eye?
lol Kick sand in the kids eye.
Polnareff got stabbed from behind.
Dat call.
They did not refuse the call for money.
Dat coin.
Dat cut straight down the middle.
Dat finisher.
Jotaro punched Hol Horse.
The girl.
Hol Horse got away.
Yare Yare daze.
Dat ending.

I can't believe Avdol is dead.

There are parts of this episode that make it hard for me to like it. Like the comedic looking car crash, and how this has just turned Polnareff the main focus. I do think The Hanged Man's ability to be bouncing from one reflection to another was ingenious for its time.
I'm curious as to how this curveball of Avdol's death will play out.
