| According to Merinews, the information and broadcasting ministry of India considered a Japanese anime "Crayon Shin-chan" to be harmful to kids and banned it from being aired on TV. The airing schedule was changed in October and Crayon Shin-chan was replaced with other anime. The estimated rating of Crayon Shin-chan TV program had reached 50 - 60% by early 2008. | I guess it's up to the parents if it's harmful or not. Until certain age the children can't put bad and good aside, their parents have to do that for them so they will learn it. I don't like when some country makes decisions like that. |

| It's weird seeing that an anime was banned in India and not in China XD. Good for India, I had to watch Shin-chan along with my cousins for a whole month (they stayed at my place) and I found it to be VERY disgusting, kids will grow smarter by not watching that show. That said, if you're not a kid and won't take Shin-chan as a role model, the show can be entertaining. |
