It's so confusing, everybody gives different answers for this question, can i get a clear cut order to watch the Gundam series? Please make it easy to understand for someone who has never seen a second of Gundam, i want to start it so please tell me the order to watch.

Thanks

I'm sure if you took a minute or two to research you would find your answer.
Besides, it took me 2 seconds to find another thread on here that has all the answers you're looking for.

If you want you can watch them in the order they released, but I'm pretty sure most Gundam series are unrelated so it really doesn't matter.

There are lots of different timelines that don't really affect each other. Pick one that looks interesting and you can check MAL entries on whether it is a sequel or not. Most people get started on either Gundam SEED (which conveniently just had a HD upgrade) or Gundam 00. Universal Century stuff is harder to get into. If you plan on watching that, it is suggested to watch the Gundam 0079 movie trilogy first.

Start off with the UC timeline by release date (The original Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, and whatever comes after that). If you don't mind 70's/80's animation, of course. Any of the standalone Gundam series from non-UC universes (G Gundam, Wing, 00) can be watched any time, it doesn't matter.

And every one of those universes is an alternative universe so stories are unconnected.

It's missing AGE and 00 movie. And some shorts like Stargazer. Plus the SD shows if somebody cares.

MSG, Zeta and CCA should absolutely be watched in that order. Other than that, it doesn't really matter so much. Never saw the point of the air dates though, so I'd just watch it chronologically.

That picture was old so AGE not included, and 00 movie is still MS Gundam 00 so what the point, since it's logical. Shorts are usually conected to some other series, and that guy was asking about series, not shorts.

It really doesnt matter what order you watch the gundam in. They are all different worlds/stories unconnected to each other. So long it isn't something like a second season.

If you really want to start with the original, the movies are better. They have some great reanimated footage and cut out the crappy g-fighter stuff. Also, you might want to consider that it is likely to have its remake "Gundam: Origin" air maybe next year, meaning a total overhaul. Still, I would suggest against starting out from Universal Century myself, especially if you like shounen battle shows and are not an elitist. It is an acquired taste type of deal. I would also suggest against watching Turn A before watching at least two or three other (preferably older) series.

I'd always go with the japanese voices, especially since some characters appear in multiple series and also a lot of iconic voices are recasted across different timelines as well.

I'd agree with Mecharobot. It's not the best idea to start with UC. You might try Gundam 00 since it's quite new, so good art, and You'll get used to their way of storytelling. Gundam Seed+Seed Desiny for something longer.

I tried watching Seed ages ago and didn't like it, so I avoided Gundam and mecha for years, with only watching FMP. When I decided to give Gundam another chance, I started with 79 and well...I loved it. Now mecha's my favorite genre. So I'd rather recommend a good Gundam to leave a good impression than a mediocre one with 50:50 chance of turning him away from the series.
