| - Aishiteruze Baby (very happy sort of half slice of life / half romance anime about a 15 year old high school student having to raise his 5 year old niece after her mother abandons her due to being too grief-stricken by the death of her husband, the series is actually very heartwarming and happy and also pretty well done, also their is some nice romance in it as well) - Clannad (the first season is very happy and warm however... The second season gets pretty emotional, not saying it's a tragedy however their are moments that I WOULD NOT classify as happy, though the ending is definitely more happy, but you could just stick the the first season and not venture further) -Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Uses the same type of comedy as Gintama and is made by the same production company, also uses almost all of the same voice actors, extremely similar, basically a slice of life version, the format is a bit different as it is just a bunch of skits) - Gintama (My favorite comedy and the funniest anime I have seen, it starts off rather slow however it is pretty funny and do to no plot you can watch at your own pace, maybe watch a few episodes as a breather after a more serious series or things like that) - Hyouka (kind of a more relaxed slice of life, not sure it could be classified as being happy itself however it makes the viewer feel sort of relaxed and happy) - Kimi to Boku. (another sort of warm slice of life, not extremely happy in any sense but has a nice more "happy" and relaxed tone to it) - Lamune (a romance with a more warm tone to it that had a very happy ending to it, of course has a bit of drama but the resolution to that drama made it pretty happy) - Nodame Cantabile (A great lighthearted series and the second funniest anime I have ever seen, surprisingly too since it is a Josei centered around classical music but the cast of characters (especially the female MC) made it extremely enjoyable) Took a few off of a previous post I had made ... so, anyways these are all "pick me ups" but not necessarily all comedies, If you want a lighthearted comedy go with Nodame Cantabile, if you want a more comedic anime then probably should go with Gintama. |

| just spoke of this in another thread. Ouran High School Host Club. It looks ridiculous but is super funny. Reverse harem (thats a good thing here, works great), super charming and funny! |
