Even so, with the good written script from Gen, we can just trust production I.G. 2 obvious example of their big miss/hit were Guilty Crown and Kuroko no Basuke. 1 miss due to the garbage script, another one was based on the "good script" and look how it was success. |
| I think that's part of the reason why this series will work though. There are several phases that make an anime great. Directing, writing, animating, producing. With all the great animes, it's a well-oiled machine that has things clicking on all cylinders. I get that vibe from the first two episodes of Psycho-Pass and what's funny was, this was the anime I picked out from the lineup and said, "I'm taking my chances on this." I guess I should go with my gut more often, because not only does this look like a good random pick anime, this might be the best anime I see all year (considering it's competing with Another, Hyouka, and maybe Robotics;Notes, that's not a stretch). I think the combination of Urobuchi and Production I.G. is a match made in heaven and much like Shaft, they'll work well with Urobuchi and give him the liberties to make a great script with this series. |
