| @Neane1993 Gallery Fake is a hidden gem -- I can't give it high enough of a recommendation, partially because of that. I'll also recommend Fantascope Tylostoma and Badlands Rumble (I liked it more than Trigun itself, so I'd recommend it even to you). |

| @jama91 Akira, it's ridiculously overrated in my own opinion, no where near as good as people say it is. But it's the most important film to anime. Basically if you're an anime buff you have to watch it in much the same way that movie buffs have to watch Citizen Kane. Ghost in the shell, one of my favourite movies, what it, you will not be disappointed. Grave of the fireflies, it's good, but that's not why I recommend it, there is no greater or more powerful war film in existence, it doesn't matter if you're an anime buff or just a casual watcher, this is a film you absolutely have to see. Fist of the North Star, are you a man who likes manly shows for men about manly men getting their asses kicked by manlier men? Then watch this manly testosterone filled trip into manliness! It's so fuck manly!!!! |

| @Neane1993 I'm gonna go ahead and highly recommend the Black Jack OVA. I recently re-watched it myself and it was even better than I remembered. If I'd have to compare it to anything I would say it's a lot like a medical version of the X-files. The atmosphere is impeccable and all of the cases are extremely interesting and frankly quite creepy. edit - woops didn't see that new post. @Zylixae Full Metal Alchemist! That show was a huge hit when it debuted in 2003 and I think it is a must watch for any anime fan. |
