| I see a correlation between the following and Code Geass and Guilty Crown and not just because of the mecha. For me, the mecha is tertiary at best. The similarity is the sci-fi setting, the political maneuvering, character growth, romance, and other the relationships. | Damn, already seen Gundam 00. That was the closest I could think of. Scifi setting that involved some tactics and political machinations. Legend of the Legendary Heroes is another one, imo. It has a guy (Sion, originally a peasant) who want to change the world (although he's technically not the main character) but there's no sci-fi involved. There's also not that much strategies, but it does deal with some politics and the action is okay. As a side bonus the actual main has Lelouch's voice actor Jun Fukuyama. |

| I'll just suggest some really good anime that are top notch Steins;Gate , Mirai Nikki , Kokoro connect (ungoing) has its amazing moments. Idk why I can't think up more but, they are out there just keep searching ^^ |
