This is my first time in recommendation section so my request probably won’t have many detail. If you feel to ask more details, please ask. Now the details of my request:

For genre, I'm neutral to both genre. GRZ being an action while SD is an drama are fine.
I found GRZ from it's opening song, Paradise Lost, which was used in ISML 2009.
As for SD, I found few people that recommend that as something worth watching.

Lastly( might not be last if you ask for more), I will watch it on June because I have school to attend.

Thank You for reading :)

EDIT:

I actually re-check this recommendation request 2 hours after I made it, at 8am, at 2pm and 5.50pm but don't know how to respond.

There is like 2 weeks delay in my recent reading list
I randomly bought discount/second hand manga with cute/mysterious cover.

Use Personal Blacklist extension in Chrome if you just want to Google for a series synopsis, without google slapping MAL score in it.

Ga Rei;Zero

It's an anime that's perfectly transparent, to the point that you know what happens yet are still entertained by it. In addition, the characters (at least most) are really likeable. There's also a follow-up manga called Ga Rei, which is also really nice.

And in my opinion, Ga Rei;Zero's less an action then an emotional thriller. Sure it takes place in an action setting, but it focuses on the emotions and relationships of the characters more than anything.

I'm not overly fond of either one so it is hard for me to say.

Both are psychological thrillers.

Ga-Rei; Zero, has a touch of action (I agree w/LiamLiam).
School Days has a touch more "romance". Some people find it shocking.

If you finish Ga-rei you'll have to read the manga afterwards, since the anime was made as a prequel to the manga. So I'll recommend School Days since you seem to be limited on something, probably time.
School Days is also Nothing short of a masterpiece. It also has a wonderful boat

just dont watch shcool days in general, its ending is the only good thing about the entire series. unless you truly want to find out what it feels like to have someone skull fuck you then dont watch school days, its one of the most abysmal things ive ever had the misfortune of watching, i can think of only 1 show worse than it

Don't watch School Days. Just don't. The only "good" thing about it was the last 10 minutes and even then it was still horrible. The female characters are all weak, stupid and pathetic. The male lead is a complete douchebag who only (I guess) knows how to work it in the sack so that's why all the girls fall for him (BECAUSE ALL WOMEN WANT IN LIFE IS A GOOD PENIS AMIRITE?). It's a shit show with shit character development and shit "story" development, and the only reason people "like" it is because of the ending and the whole Nice Boat thing. Take out the last episode of the series and no one would even remember it.

And I don't agree with telling anyone "NOT" to watch something. Cautioning them that it might offend their sensibilities and/or you personally didn't like it and, without giving away key points (spoilers) tell them why.

Its not a must, but knowing there is a sequel, one would feel obliged to see it(since it has the real ending) , I too haven't read it, but I undoubtedly will. I checked your list so I can use this as an example of sorts. "You don't need to continue from the manga or watch Gintama' after you completed the first series"

Ga Rei: Zero

I haven't seen school days but Ga Rei: Zero was nice, especially because it is the first chapter of the Manga so if you enjoy it, you can start reading the manga right off the bat :)

Let me just weigh in here and say that after having seen the Ga-Rei: Zero anime and loved it, I have no inclination to read the Ga-Rei manga.

You may be doing this unintentionally, but you're implying that Ga-Rei: Zero doesn't really end, and that you have to read the manga to get a sense of closure. Let me just make clear that this is not the case at all.

It doesn't end.

Though I'm not saying you need to read it or not.

Anyways, voted Ga Rei Zero. Only reason to watch School Days is to jerk off to something or for the nice boat ending.

No, none of that has anything to do with Ga-Rei: Zero ending or not. All of what you said are hints to what might happen in another instalment of the Ga-Rei franchise (and what's with that completely unnecessary manga spoiler, seriously), but the story built up within Ga-Rei: Zero is not truncated before its conclusion.

THIS.

Also, do not read the manga of Ga Rei after you are done watching Ga-rei-Zero

The manga is awful in every way.

Watch only the anime Ga Rei Zero.
Do not read the manga.

+1

just watch school days and brace yourself for a trainwreck (if it's in a good way is up to you)

Ga rei zero, the first episode will be a bit weird but still worth watching (and like allready said it's NOT needed to read the manga i did and just hope someday it will get an adaptation)

just watch both that's what i say (and like lis said, never listen to anybody saying NOT to watch something because they hated it.)

This, totally. Couldn't have said it better.
I watched Zero twice and have no intention at all to read the manga. I watched the show for the Yomi/Kagura relationship and that does get closure in the anime, regardless of what happens later in the manga (I know what happens and very much prefer how the anime ends things). As for the other things brought up in the anime, that get explored further in the manga...well I don't mind open endings so I was totally fine with the anime's.

Watch School Days first and then rinse it off with Ga-Rei: Zero right after that. Personally I loved both, top 20 for sure.

Also you guys need to stop saying "you will be shocked blahblahblah about School Days" because you're ruining what I actually liked mostly about the Anime, the surprise. Let him watch it and judge it for himself. Jeez...

They are two very different series. One is a deconstruction of the harem genre (and is bad, sorry School Days fans. Then again, I am female and hate harems and was just personally offended by it.)

The other is a fantastic yuri-undertoned action series that feels like the classic 80's and 90's demon-fighting anime/manga, like X/1999 and things like that.

So I mean, it's up to you. Personally, I think Ga-Rei:Zero kicks School Days out of the water. But they are very different- Do you want to see the harem genre deconstructed (think Evangelion or Madoka Magica, but for harems and not as well done), or do you want an action series where you can actually care about the characters and is a story rather than a commentary?
