| Hi all! I am not ashamed to admit that I find most of my content online. If I could buy as much as manga and anime as I wanted, then I totally would have a library full of Graphic Novels and DVDs. Alas, but I need food and have to pay rent, and last I checked, the public library still hasn't matched my interests. So, to the Point at hand. Online Manga readers are dropping off left and right. If any of you paid much attention, scanlators put their hate into watermarks for popular china based sites like mangareader and mangafox. I paid attention and found myself, at smaller sites with good interface, without the gaudy attempts at making money off of other peoples material. A few weeks ago I discovered that my access was being blocked to somemanga, a small users only site with a great forum and cats. I'm no technical guru, but through updates via facebook we all figured out that the site wasn't taken down, but actually being blocked, censored, and a simple proxy could get you around the gatekeepers of the internets. I just jumped over to another favorite site of mine, batoto. However, that one too is now inaccessible. I'm assuming it is the same type of IP ban or block or arbitrary censorship. Word choice aside, I haven't read One Piece in weeks. (Yes, I know how to find it, but that's not what this thread is about) I'm trying to figure out what scale these things are happening. The art of slow movement is a ninja deception tool, and if these changes aren't kept track of a leaky faucet will eventually be a flood. For me, I've lost access to somemanga and batoto. Has anyone else noticed a site down, blocked or censored? |

| I googled both of them as well, the network timed out going to somemanga. However, I could easily get into the other one. I would suggest just waiting a while, perhaps they will come back on. |

| I'm in the U.S. running on Clear with a hotspot and can't load SomeManga. Batoto is working just fine though. Perhaps SomeManga is just experiencing downtime? |

Yeah, actually, batoto is working just fine for me too. I am a little on edge without my One Piece. SO when I couldn't load it the first few tries I assumed the worst. I'll change the forum title to be less suggestive. |
| I can access it fine and I too have xfinity. They do have a notice up saying that the site is now private though. To directly quote it "we's private now birches. qq if you didn't join in time." *edit to clarify* that is from somemanga |

| From their facebook page it looks like some can connect and others can't. Both inside and outside the US. But atleast you can take heart in the fact it's not your ISP censoring it. A little light at the end of the tunnel atleast =P |
