| well i was wondering what the database moderators think is the line between shoujo and josei. two josei examples from wikipedia: Nodame Cantabile and Honey and Clover are shoujo on MAL. there are probably more examples, but these are very well known. i say this because im liking the more adult relationships in nodame at the moment and i think i will in general like reading josei much more than shoujo. |

| It's hard to define between the two genres. They are different but not so much there is a clear line. Most of titles are user submitted so it's often left up to the user to pick genres. I changed both of the titles you listed to josei because I agree with that. If you think there is anything else in the database with the wrong genre then please share. |

| Technically, the distinction should be based on the magazine that the series originally ran in in Japan. Not everything works that simply, of course, but it's a good guideline. |
