| Lot's of nice works here. Damn am jealous. Anyway can i ask something? How to the guys that do digital drawing to it? To they all use tablets? I'm asking because a few times i tried to draw with a mouse i noticed that you just can even draw a decent line without making a mess of it. The had just isn't steady enough with a mouse. Or was i just doing it wrong? |
| Well, yes and no. Most pros use tablets, but you can get away with using things like the pen tool in photoshop. Sai paint gives alot of flexibility in terms of editing line vectors. The real strength of drawing with a tablet, aside from the mechanical likeness to using a traditional tool, is that you can control your line weights. It gives drawing a sense of dimension and style. But it also takes a great deal of practice and control to use it. You can, however, still get decent results and create something good with a mouse. This is because art is really more about you getting the mental picture than the medium you choose to express it. And you can get the programs to simulate pen pressure for you. As for drawing with the mouse directly without using a curves tool, well it's not really practical. |

| Hm, well my feedback would be maybe to study 3D space more so you don't feel as limited to make a standing pose looking at the camera. Also having an idea of what they're doing helps too. Some sketches I did today. Not going to UL all of them bc there's a lot. |

I forgot to be wary of proportion with that one :P I was supposed to change that but I drew it out with pen. I want to practice more on drawing hands. |
