Ever seen an anime title for a show or movie that had you say "I wonder what this is about."

Did you enjoy the movie or show OR did you dislike?

The first for me was Inuyasha and I immediately enjoyed the series and the movies.
I AM THE GREAT PRUSSIA AND I AM AWESOME!!!!

Two shows for me would have to be "El Cazador de la Bruja" and "Ristorante Paradiso", probably because the titles are neither in Japanese nor English. As the titles had proven, they make references to the cultures where they originated (Mexico and South America in El Cazador and Italy in Ristorante), even if they do become gratuitous at times.

I still enjoyed them, though. El Cazzy went on to become one of my favorite anime, but Ristorante was a little forgettable, though pleasant and relaxing.

Angel Beats!
The name sounded interesting. It was alright ^_^

Rozen Maiden... though mostly it's because of the picture of Shinku along with the title. Enjoyed it ^_^

You'll laugh but Kaleido Star sounded like a cool title to me, and I loved the show even though it was silly at times.

Only show that i have watched purely based on it's name would be legend of the legendary heroes.

The reason behind this is that my first reaction was "they're no even trying anymore." I believed that I would hate the anime, but I don't like forming opinions on a show without at least giving it a 3 episode go. In the end, despite the name, I found it to be a decent show.

Usually dark, sinister sounding names like "Death Note" and "The Skull Man" draw my attention. Bizarre cryptic names like "Serial Experiment Lain" or "Paranoia Agent", or names referencing classic works such as "Gilgamesh" and "Gankutsuou- The Count of Monte Cristo" also draw me in.
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone.

Spice and Wolf, kinda thought the title was a little off, until I watched it, which became one of my faves ^_^

Boogiepop Phantom. I haven't even read the synopsis or anything, it's just someone recommended that to me, and the title looked interesting, so I started watching without knowing a single thing about it, ended up loving it.

Another is Tokyo Godfathers, same as above I don't know anything about the anime at all, just that the title reminds me of The Godfathers, of course both are really different, but I still ended up liking it.

Angel Beats was also one, though I ended up rather disappointed with this.

Sounded interesting:
Blassreiter
Pale Cocoon
Paranoia Agent
Gilgamesh

Just for the weirdness of the title:
The Diary of Tortov Roddle
Mizu no Kotoba
Noisy Birth

English Titles:
Darker Than Black
Ghost in the Shell
Sword of the Stranger

Japanese:
Kara no Kyoukai
Higurashi no naku koro ni
Sengoku Basara

^ All those titles "grabbed" my attention prior to knowing what they actually were.
Will you be able to do.... what must be done?

- Darker than Black (A question I actually wondered)
- Grave of the Fireflies
- Hellsing

Not forgetting "Le Portrait de Petit Cossette" before it was simply changed to "Cossette no Shouzou". Either way, I didn't like the show.
