THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Well I will be missing this series. :( I do have high hopes that there may be a second season because at the end they still hear another voice for their help so the adventures might continue on! :D That would be great if there is another season of this series. I can see this as being the most friendly non-ecchi non-mature anime. Very easy to have understood without subs except for more complex parts since I am still in training for Japanese fluency.

Well this episode and the previous will have worthy reviews because they are the best in the whole series. This one made me bump my rank as 24/25/26 being #1 in this series for being amazing in most parts of opinions, let's start.

Ok so from last episode Ran and Midori were stuck with Obasa in wolf form in a alternate dimension where it is under the control of Obasa herself. From then on there is conversation and before all know, there is a sort of black hole that most likely threatens the whole world, I would suppose it is that vital. Once again very impressive use of the psychic shield from Midori. Red color once again for offensive defense.

The thing that started to change completely the flow is when Ran stopped Midori from using her shield since the animals keep ramming into it and bouncing back and she did not want Junpei with his brother to get hurt anymore (I understand the feelings but that stupid because the animals never got hurt they just were kept at bay). Before I knew it blood O_O in this series my reaction was correct. There was also way way way more than ever before in this series of blood. Midori and Ran getting sliced was quite painful to see concerning this series.

Then before I knew it Obasa sends out a ram towards Midori and Ran jumps in front to push Ohara sensei/Midori towards safety. The problem is how did Ran avoid having her face smashed by the ram? I swear I was thinking that Ran would be dead on the spot but the ram misses and just scratches her. Talk about some luck.

So then to my surprise Midori/Ohara sensei gets transported to another world within that same dimension. The world reminded of the American movie "Water World". Where all cities are underwater and there is only vegetation around. I do admit the spectacular scene was breathtaking. Very well done! The conversation was amazing also. Midori showing the beautiful moments being with Ohara sensei's grand-mother from episode #21 was great and good thing it had the deep effect on Ohara sensei to have her change once more, although I though they would make this episode more like a world end type.

During that time Ran being slashed and bleeding more was not great to see. In fact her suffering was terrible, I wonder if kids freaked out at that scene in Japan? Most likely not but it was somewhat shocking a little to see Ran bleed. Then Midori comes back with Ohara sensei and takes the blow that was to finish Ran and once again gets away with a scratch. I counted during that time about 4 to 5 more face slashes not counting the other four on Ran's arms with one large marked on the torso of Ran. So they suffered pretty bad. It was also pretty bad to see Rui be helpless to help Ran I am sure if he would be there amplification would help a lot or he could just run towards Obasa to nullify her powers.

Suddenly Junpei approaches, guess things change for the sudden and he becomes human. It follows that the brother of Junpei becomes human too and then all the other animals became humans. They all started to oppose Obasa and with such opposition surely there was some kind of weakness but it did not seem like it until the tree started to grow. Ohara sensei also changed suddenly and gave her help once again. Amazing how she changes suddenly once again but this time the right wound was fixed within her.

The tree as most would guess is directly connected to the one in the real world and where Rui is. So he gets out then with the two cats. That's another thing that might have made a difference since Obasa is animal and the cats are also but they were taken properly taken care of so that might have also made a difference. Ran around then looked like Princess Mononoke and Midori looked like her partner with those slashes and bleeding.

In the end Obasa canceled the black hole and all got back to the real world. Yay! HAPPY ending! Ohara sensei goes back to see her grand-mother, Ran is complaining that Rui is not in her class since another school year most likely started, Midori is happy with Ran and goes on in loving Rin with his food cooking may I add that his food looked delicious once again and like I said before there maybe a future second season as there is at least one hint of the possibility.

Another thing that bugged me was improper way of Rui to act when he saw Ran with those wounds. He should have been more worried and the fact the wounds were healed I will leave it has Obasa healing them or the wounds were only applicable within Obasa's dimension.

In overall this series deserves a 8/10 at least most 10/10 but some areas have certain weakness that could have made it better.

1.Ohara sensei is finally going back to visiting her grand-mother in the hospital and I though she was dead O_O What a relief and it was great to see her back in those two last episodes.
2.Ran with Midori look pretty badly wounded.
3.Very nice scenery most favorite in this series!

What the hell did I just watch? 26 episodes and instead of getting an overarching storyline, or explaination about Rui, I get people inexplicably turining into animals and some wolf try to destroy the human race? I get Bad-sensei comeback only so they can wrap up her storyline with Tome who is death-defyingly alive? I get a super retarded wrap up where the spend at least a minute and a half to tell me that nothing has changed (including Rin opening up to Midori's feelings) except that they are a year older. This show was really on track to getting a 7 after staying at a 6 for a few weeks, but this crap made me drop it to a 4. It ends up totally not being worth the watch, and so saccharine Willy Wonka would throw up cotton candy Oompa Loompas. I'm beyond angry. I might give it a 3.

Is there even need to explain everything single detail about each characters? Nope.
Is this series even need a finally conclusion ending? From what i saw from the beginning to the end I would say No.
Is this ending make this series feels so empty or lack of something? I don't think so.

Yes. I've just watched it, and I thought it was a really good conclusion to the series. I don't think you should read this thread before watching it!

The main scene when Ran refused to protect herself was puzzling at first, since she wasn't really hurting the animals. They explain it quite nicely though:

"If you wish to hate, then release that hatred on us. We won't run or hide. I'll take in your feelings! But I... We... will believe in humans until the end!"

They have to show they are willing to suffer, in order to demonstrate that they are peaceful and to gain the animals compassion. Ran has a wonderful ability to always do the exact right thing, even when it's hard to understand. She's also incredibly brave.

It's also a little puzzling that being mauled by big cats and trampled by rhino only leaves her a little battered and scratched! I think we can understand this partly because it's a program for children, but also Ran is their friend. Although they're enraged at all humans they still deep-down can't kill their friend. Doing so would go against the very reason they gave up on humanity.

In some ways it might have been nice to see the filthy human race over-thrown, and the Earth returned to nature. I can certainly understand the desire to give up on humanity and live as an animal. Ran is a lot more optimistic than me, but we get a suggestion that this episode has changed the future for better. When all the plants are growing back and the "others" come to take Oogami-sama home:

"We believe in these humans. The time for us to awaken has not yet come. You have saved us. The ones who saved us are humans."

*sigh*. I always feel happy after watching this series. I won't mind if there's a new series or not though, since I thought this was quite complete.

They went quite a bit far for the final I think, didn't like that too much. Though I know I'm probably not part of the target audience. 6/10

I always have to think hard how to score a kid's show. I scored this 8/10 because that's how the 10 year old in me scores it. I used to love Scooby Doo, and this was way better!

For me, it was on a par with Aria. I can't imagine how they could have made it any better, but it was more like comfort food than curry. I wish I could have seen it when I was little.

I was going to give this show a solid 8 before this retarded final episode. What the hell were they thinking? Alien animal species that suddenly gets fed up with the human race and decides to kill them using human/alien animals?
I, like cyruz, realize I'm not part of the target audience but nobody's going to buy this shit they're selling.

Ignoring the last arc, this show was a solid 8 based on cuteness and sillyness, the full show receives a low 7. Can we have an End of Telepathy Shoujo Ran movie that doesn't suck?

Last words: Midori is still cute and Ran still looks like a boy. Rui is still gay and Rin is awesome for hanging out with the kids.

So wtf, we never even got a hint about Rui's "thing" cause he did have a thing! Rui was never explained!!!! *angry*
If it wasn't for the retarded ending I would have given it an 8, it dropped to a 6/10
*sigh* Still I might miss this... a little.

I didn't want to go that far with Rin... :)

Ghost maybe, since they're all telepaths? I don't even remember if she did die but I think she did.

To me this series worked well as guilty pleasure. The writing is pretty bad at times and the last two episodes especially were hammy but i enjoyed watching the antics of the main duo.

It would be perfect it they tell more story about Midori and Rui. I was waiting until the end and got disappointed..

The last arc is really weird, and gave little explanation.
The animals escaped from the zoo, and where did they go? Inside the humans? But wasn't the humans just transformed to what they used to be? If the animals 'go' into the humans, where are the animals after the humans transformed back?
At the first I thought the escaped animals possesed them, but it seems not like that?

I hope there's sequel for the anime..

so moral of the story, crying like a baby solves everything,

the world burns and everyone dies.

because the only way to stop humanity from destroying the planet is to exterminate them or conquer them.
