| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Cool episode, I think I will like this show. I like the character designs and the 'feel' of it. It has a classic sort of style to it. Well, this is a NHK series. so I should have expected that :) Midori looks exactly like Natsuki from Mai Hime, lol. Only thing I didn't like about this series so far is the opening song by Chara. I have never been a Chara fan, so I am hoping they will change out the OP song sometime during the series :) |

| The pacing of the episode seemed a bit odd to me, but overall I quite enjoyed it. The Ran/Midori interaction at the end was quite entertaining although I was kind of surprised everyone was just content to let them throw down (including their teacher). I really liked the soundtrack (outside of the OP...and I really can't remember the ED) since it added to the show nicely without drawing attention away from what was going on. Plus the animation production was nice enough and the character designs are cute albeit lacking any distinctive features. Overall I think I'll probably stick to this one as long as the next few episodes go well. Especially since I would really like an explanation for Evil Dog Firestarter. |
| I hate that girl Midori! Daikirai Midori-chan! Yo she killed that banker! Another thing I wonder is how the hell they acquired all this suddenly. Even in the TV show Heroes it's far off! I mean how does Midori know mind control, psyionic attacks and even telekinesis which has nothing to do with telepathy by the way cause I research this stuff a lot. Mind communication makes sense but the rest is still cloudy also weather manipulation near the end does not go with telepathy nor does it relate to even telekinesis. I wonder if this will turn battle royal through the whole season or they become friends to fight other people that have these powers (random villains)? Hmmmmm finally shouldn't Chihiro subs pick this one up? It is rather cute for its drawings and quite fresh. Opinions on my comment???? |

To be honest no because this the definition of Weather manipulation: The ability to control barometric pressure in the atmosphere and humidity at will, resulting in the change of weather patterns and formation of freak weather conditions. It has nothing to with telepathy or telekinesis and at least not directly even if there was some sort of link. |

| I actually really enjoyed it. The beginning seemed a little stupid, but it got a lot better. I'm excited to see how this series turns out. |

| Hmmm there's really something interesting in this series, on top of the good characterization, the plot seems quite original and everything seems very consistent and pretty well directed. Apart from that, pure NHK series, educative, somewhat naive and well-animated (hum I know, Allison & Lillia is NOT well-animated...). Some good points for a first episode, I'll watch some more for sure, it's a very good surprise for me. |

| I was bit reluctant in starting this, but I'm glad I did. This first episode was pretty good, I might enjoy this series :) |

| This series might be a good one ;). It's hard to tell so early on but it was a promising first episode and I like Ran so far. She kind of reminds me of Satsuki from My Neighbor Totoro..then again maybe its just because of the hairstyle :P |

| I'm not a big fan of the OP or ED themes but the story and animation were great. This seems like it could be one of those hidden gem series. It seems sort of unique aswell, I'm not sure what to make of it yet but I'll be following this series :] |

| Eh... just picked it up. A nicely paced episode, though, it was really thick when Ran started losing it. And of course, the generic "Just tranfered to this school" scheme anyone? |
