| I have an idea :) Contest name: Official Sig Challenge (Any Suggestions?) What it is: Like the wallpaper contest, you give a theme with specific rules and every participant does a sig according to them. For example, a contest where the theme is "Bleach" (you can do anything related to bleach) but the sig format must be in 550x110px; every entry that doesn't follow this rules will be disqualified. How often will it run: Month to Month. For example, 1 of November starts the entry round; 15 of November ends the entry round and starts the voting round; 30/31 of November the voting round ends, the winner is announced and receives a banner as a gift. Club link (If applicable): I don't know about that... it's just an idea :/ |

| @Aero: Yes! That's it <3 I keep seeing people with talent doing this stuff only for themselves and it would be great to test their works with contests. I must confess that I'm not good doing this kind of signatures... xD But I really liked to do and participate in the wallpaper contests :D I guess it's similar and if this works out it will be a good opportunity to have fun, do and show your work to others and maybe win an award :) A trial? That sounds good ;) |

Contest name: AMV Contest What it is: Anime music video contest. Theres many ways to do this, could be fun if you youre given either a theme or anime to work with. Anyone who wants to make an entry are welcome to do so. The amv musnt be longer than 3 minutes and cant contain (major) spoilers. And of course it must be your own work. I think this could be really fun, for alteast come who likes making them. What might be the issue is that it becomes who picks the best song or who has the coolest anime in his/her amv that wins. But Im pretty sure theres ways to avoid this. How often will it run: Making an amv is huge work. But contests with too long deadline tend to have less entrys so maybe semi-weekly. --- This is just a little idea, if anyone think its a good idea, feel free to PM me so I know, or if you wanna help out to make it happen :3 |
| The AMV contest used to be run by cyruz at the MAL Music Addicts club (1200+ members) but then it flopped. There just wasn't enough people entering. The last one only had one entry :/ |

Contest name: Manga-Style Parody Challenge What it is: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=50985 The link above best illustrates what I have in mind :) Participants submit a manga-style page based on a theme. There will be 2 categories: "One Panel Style" (can use one panel only) and "4Koma Style" (maximum of 6 panels) General Rules: - Links to the source images must be provided - Manga scans and Anime screenshots can be used for source images - Entries must read like a manga - No mixing from different mangas/animes! | Well, I posted this in Club's comments, but no one [except Meri] answered, so I'm posting it here.. Contest Name: Club Layout of the Month What is it: It is very similar to Profile of the Month. People will be able to nominate clubs they think that look good, and the top 5 will receive prize banners. How often will it run: Monthly. Nominations ~ 1-15 of the Month, Voting ~ 15- 30/31. Club link: None yet. If it gets approved and if peepz think it's good idea, I'll open the club. :) |

| I'm requesting to host a Monthly Anime/Manga List Design contest. A contest for people's favorite anime/manga list layout design of the month. I want to host in the MAL Contests Forum. I've already hosted several design contests over the years including on MAL. My club has been one of the forerunners of customizing lists on MAL since 2010 with a plethora of tutorials on CSS and BBCode design. Many new list layouts come out every month as they use my tutorials and I would like to have a place for them to enter- the contest forum seems perfect. Plus I can inform ppl at the end of my most popular topics of the monthly contest, so there will always be attention on it. ftr we're finishing up our own list contest for designs that came out over winter and fall, tho I don't want to do these monthly ones in the format I'm using for that. I want to use the format of this contest style but with screenshots and links. So now I wait for approval or not lol? I'm not clear on the next step but if there's any feedback go for it. |
| Contest name One-shot Doujinshi Challenge What it is Users can submit their own doujinshi (one-shot only. if it's too much, then probably a one or two page doujinshi?). They can use any characters from anime/manga they prefer. Crossovers are cool too. How often will it run Every December? Submissions during September-October and voting could be during October-November. But as for now, probably June-July are the best dates to submit. Voting on July-August. Announcing of winners by the end of August. I'm not sure if anyone would find this idea good but oh well. It's just a suggestion :) |

| Contest name: Best Girl/Best Boy Contest What it is: Users can nominate their favorite female (and male if it gets popular enough) anime characters from the current season. The nomination period will close and all characters that have been nominated will be placed into a poll to vote on. The 16/32/however many I decide characters with the most votes will be placed against each other in a bracket, kind of like MAL's verson of Saimoe. The winning character and the user who nominated said character will get a special card made for him/her (might need someone else to do that as I'm terrible with graphics. At the end of the year, the 4 characters who won each seasonal tournament will face off in a Girl/Boy of the Year contest. How often it will run: Seasonally. Nominations will begin in the final two weeks of the season and the brackets will run in the first couple of weeks of the new season. The yearly contest will take place right after the Winter bracket. Not sure if this idea will make it because Saimoe already exists. But I think it will be fun. ^^ |
