THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Aporia is an ass, he's goes so far as putting thousands of innocent lives in danger and Jaeger should have stopped the duel or at least tried. That Machine Emperor is beyond broken. Next episode will be in the BAD area.

Watched Team CYM subs, a bit of it was hard to understand but i somehow got through with it. Episode was kinda meh imo. (ontop of the bad card translations in this particular sub)
If your going to complain that Yu-Gi-Oh! Mangas are on the top NY times manga best sellers, you must not realize how popular Card games are(as well as the fact that you get a free card).

I watched a high quality version on veoh, since the other one from my normal anime site, was some of the worst subbing I have ever seen ever.

Anyways I give the episode a 4/5, actually looking forward to seeing Yusei pulling one of his miracles this time. Really want to know how he is going to win with his strongest monster disabled like that.

Edit: Also concerning Aporia, I really feel like it should not be possible to summon SUPER hax cards like the 'God of the Machine Emperors, Cubicle" in ONE turn : )

Interesting to see paradox from the movie here. I am kinda confused, did the Machine Emperors try to save the world from destruction or did they just come to bring extra destruction before the energy-thingy would blow up the world?

Gahh, Why do they still follow the rules, why can't Aporia just destroy the world instead of playing the game..Well, it's a Yu-Gi-Oh! world, so I suppose lol

Because of the circuit they have to complete, and it will only be completed if they beat Team 5D's or Yusei in this case.

I love how this show never really has a "bad guy" , even now the supposed bad guy is just trying to save their future by not having mass Synchro Summons happening.

omg was that Paradox we saw as one of the last survivors of the earth?! Woah, talk about unexpected... but very smart of the show to do. I didn't realize that the other guy was Bruno until I read the comments :o

But wait, why would Bruno be trying to help Yusei if he was with Aporia? >.>

Yeah, no real bad guys. Both sides are just trying to save the world by their own definition.

Other than that, the city's getting destroyed and Yusei's gotten himself in a tough situation.

kind of felt bad for Aporia in that flashback tbh also i find it interesting that paradox was there with them kind of makes me wonder if bonds beyond time is canon now that i think about it.

Well, that was one hell of a backstory.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Aporia wasn't trying to stop Synchro Summonings from happening; he and the others from the future were trying to stop Moment from going berserk, which is why Aporia's plan was to summon the Ark Cradle to destroy Neo Domino City, hence wiping Moment from history and altering the future.

I thought Aporia's backstory made him more sympathetic if we ignore that his plan would kill thousands of people, although you could argue that those people could've been evacuated a long time ago by Yeager and the city's security force so that no casualties would occur. Also it's weird that during the flashback no attention was given to Paradox's presence; he was there but Yusei didn't recognize him for some reason...?

Aporia is giving me some serious Mega Man X vibes. Especially since he appears to be a robot from a dystopian future. Let's see what cards he uses.

More Meklords.

It's interesting, to say the least, that Aporia came from the future to try and save humankind. But, the problem is that it seems like his plan isn't too different from what's already happened in the future. He's going to destroy Neo Domino City to keep Neo Domino City from being destroyed. A lot of people will die either way. I imagine just giving Yusei warning would've sufficed. Then they could start working towards alternatives.

So the last survivor with the mask is the same guy Yusei, Sherry, Bruno saw when they teleported into the white blank space? that's what i think.
Also where does Bruno play a part in all this? I'm still wondering. maybe later they explain.
Lol i like how the main villain still has to play by the rules like ending turn and stuff instead of just going rampage and causing mayhem.
I also good change of scenery, dueling in a public roads. really dangerous. Random kid in the road.. 💀.

So basically, it's the trolly problem on a grand scale: save one city, or save the whole world. Our heroes choose "save everyone" as you'd expect

It's worth noting that this is their 2nd attempt at destroying the city (3rd if you count Dark Signer Godwin), with the first time being when they gaslighted Rudger into triggering Zero Reverse 17 years ago

What a life Aporia had, though. Meklord genocide was his childhood. His teenage years were spent fighting war. Then, he had to live out the remaining years alone in a barren wasteland. If it was me, I would've put a bullet in my skull a long time ago.

Aporia, guardian of despair, emerges from Jose, Placido, and Lucciano, with his boss monster Meklord Astro Mekanikle. Aporia was one of the last survivors alongside three others, who worked to revive the barren and destroyed world around them in hopes of stopping Moment's negative energy from existing, which can only be accomplished if New Domino is wiped from history according to Aporia. Z-one was also watching Aporia in their capsule on their last life, with Aporia wanting Z-one to divide the despairs into three in hopes of fixing the past; despair of losing people who loved him (Lucciano), losing people to love (Placido), and despair for not needing love (Jose). As for the duel, lightning is striking and everyone evacuates, and the duel is taken to public roads for a short amount of time due to Aporia's recklessness, with Yusei moving to another area away from the city so nobody else can get hurt. Shooting Star Dragon is absorbed, but Yusei has an out to destroy his dragon that was absorbed/equipped to cancel out Astro Mekanikle's effect of sending an equipped synchro monster to the graveyard to inflict effect damage equal to the original attack points to Yusei. Unfortunately Aporia on his next turn sent Wisel Attack 5 to the grave to gain its effect of double piercing, putting Yusei at risk of losing if the attack hits.. intense stuff
