How to establish communication between otaku and ultra-casuals?

An implicit premise about hierarchies is that people in the lower positions want to be in the higher ones.
But what if this wasn't the case?

I've come to the conclusion that perhaps I shouldn't argue with a lot of people on Twitter with people with low watch count and terrible takes because, well... they don't want to become someone who was watched 500 anime. I can't even ask them to post their MAL/AL whenever I see a very wrong take in order to try to find out what might have made the people have that opinions because... they have none.
Well, if they're not "on the hustle", then I should just ignore what they say if I only have issues with them, right?
That just doesn't feel right with me, and also I end up not having anyone to talk about, and also... I kinda want to "exist" to those people, will know?
Like, if their posts gets on my TL without me searching for it or consenting to it, wouldn't it be fair that I also expose them to how things could be different? Who knows, maybe they get interested, curious, decide to get deeper into it?

Edit: Changed the name title since most discussion seemed to be about it.

I'd have to start by figuring out what a riajuu is.

If your problem is that you run out of people who are interested in you and want to talk to you....

Then:
-> "Fk all those people. They have no opinions. I can't even be ask to talk to them anymore. They don't want to be like me" <-
....is not the mindset you should have. It doesn't help^^

My advice:

- Stop talking down to them.
- Treat them like human beings.
- Try to be nice.

Those three should go a long way.

You're asking this like "how can a political/religious extremist communicate with a normal person", but you don't even have an ideology, it's all just anime which is fictional entertainment. Do you not realize how completely insane this is?

Dude is using a Japanese slang term that isn't even universal. lol

Using "riajuu" here doesn’t make the premise deep or insightful. It just confuses a community, where over 90% aren't even close to being fluent in Nihongo, let alone accustomed to rarely used Japanese slang terms. lol

The OP likely did something like googled the shit just to sprinkle it on top of another one of their gatekeeping essays. lol

He should have just came out and said "riaru ga jujitsu shite iru", that would made more sense. But then no one would understand what he was trying to say in an English speaking community. lol

I'd have an easier time understanding Japanese terms if thewiru were to write them in Japanese. Though I probably still wouldn't understand slang.

@Lucifrost @ColourWheel It's actually in the dictionary as a slang word defined by

"person who is satisfied with their real (offline) life; normie"

Bold to assume a hierarchy between normies and otakus. Otakus are obviously supreme.

This is my hikikomori justice!

Which dictionary? Do you mean to say it's not a Japanese word after all?

But "Riajuu” isn't a group, even being used as slang. lol

Even being thrown in the title, it's being miss used. lol

It's like someone posted a title like “How can gamers communicate with people who like sunny days?” That is the equivalent of how cringe it looks to me. lol

Essentially a lot of Twitter engagement farmers are pretty much anime tourists who know very little about the medium like how many big gaming news youtubers barely play games.

Also, a lot of Twitter users or either bots, or humans that got shadowbanned for being new/tiny.

Even if someone took the time to look the shit up and translate it properly…

Who says an “otaku” can’t also be someone satisfied with their real life? lol

See the disconnect? That’s exactly how the term is being misused here. It’s like grabbing random words from another language to ask, “How can people who like sugar follow the law?” lol

Sure, the term exists and is sometimes used in Japan, but it’s extremely niche, rarely used, and completely being used wrong in this context. lol

@ColourWheel Yes, but an otaku dissatisfied with their real life is still an otaku. My hierarchy still stands.

Absolute. I told you.

Also why are you asking me about the title. Ask @thewiru

.. Never mind, the title changed to "ultra-casuals" so basically "almost-normies"

Being an otaku and being an hikikomori are two sperate things too. lol

That's a slice of what being an Otaku looks like... while being a hikikomori is just someone who isolates themself... No obsession required. lol

One who is an Otaku tends to be very happy with their life and fulfilled with all the shit they collect over time too.

@ColourWheel I'm just saying my hikikomori justice stems my hierarchy between otakus and normies. It's a personal take.

Nice pictures of your room btw.

I see you think there is some hierarchy between otakus and normies. But I am sure people would "try" to classify me as a normie compared to a lot of other users on here... and I still personally think of myself far from being an otaku. lol

...and it's great you like the shit I collect too. :)
