most anime fans believe 2d>3d so less real life crimes especially against women and it solves overpopulation too because youre addicted to ecchi or hentai

anime addiction can make a fan stay at home longer so less resource use due to having low income so less pollution overall

its better to be an anime addict than a drug addict

so what else? i guess same benefits of games addiction applies to anime addiction too

but ye we already know the bad effects of anime addiction and games addiction so this thread is about focusing on the beneficial side

Everyone on MAL should blossom into a true anime fan, embracing the sexiness that makes anime anime, deprogramming themselves from western values.

When I started out, I was a normie, getting offended by Princess Lover! and getting offended by Sabage-bu! when one of the girls suggested the other belongs in the idol industry.

Now I have anime soul. I need to actually watch Princess Lover now. Back in the day I dropped it before finishing episode 1.

But even being an anime fan has its limits. I’m less otaku and more off-road, pickup truck guy since 2023.

You can't save the world with anime, but it isn't a bad idea to upload some more anime on social media.....

That's so dystopian, and really just sounds like trying to justify bad choices you made in your life.

Evil always triumphs irl so nothing really "saves the world." Anime makes a pretty nice hobby in a cold uncaring world though.

Anime can save the world by promoting the acceptance of wholesome taboos like incest.

Anime did save my sanity in the past, when I was full NEET. It kept me company. Shows like Gintama and Sket Dance filled a void and helped me stay or feel grounded.

I still like anime these days but I need more interactivity like in games.

If anime can save the world, then the world is definitely being saved because there is no shortage of anime content uploaded on social media. However, there is still a severe lack of anime merchandise in physical stores, outside of Japan, because anime is still considered a taboo subject.....in the eyes of normies. Luckily, anime is easy to find online.

Parasocial relationships with fictional characters fill emotional gaps just well enough to prevent complete despair, which is technically a public health service. Also, anime creates global unity. People from completely different cultures can instantly bond over hating the same ending.

@Impala anime is good quality content. Many people enjoy watching it. Like the OP said, consuming anime saves the world by reducing resource consumption and pollution.

@IpreferEcchi As long as you have a stable life and a good income, I don’t see any problem with spending your free time enjoying anime. I also hate puritans, because it’s cringe and actually against human nature to claim you’re not attracted to a drawn female character that was clearly designed to be attractive.
It usually comes down to two types of people: those who hide it by saying that anyone who watches hentai or ecchi is disgusting, even though they would do the same themselves, and those who are simply not attracted to women because otherwise there’s no way you’d look at the best-looking drawn bodies you’ll ever see and genuinely feel disgusted.
Why would I follow Western values? I’ve never liked them and I never will. To me, they’re designed to keep people constrained within a system. I prefer being honest about what I enjoy. I like booties and tits, and I’d rather see them than deny it or act morally superior about it.

@DesuMaiden
there's a good thread in AD about tropes, you can do your A.I. training on the matter there
