It's always nice to see a videogame community, especially an arcade community which is considered an endangered species.

Loved the episode! It was the most intense one so far. I didn’t expect Momoko to be that good of a fighting game player. I related to everything they said because I’m a fighting game addict myself, so when Momoko picked Wanko, I was immediately reminded of Bryan from Tekken 8.

Since Karin said Wanko has very good stats but ain't easy to control, haha, I think Tekken players will get what I mean. That aside, I'm really glad Renji kept his promise to Karin, reminded her of her place, put her back in her lane, and made her go grind ranked at home again, haha.

I play Tekken but I don't get the reference. I do get the M. Bison reference w/ Wanko.

@gio_lingad Bryan is generally considered a top 1–3 character in Tekken 8, but he’s also one of the hardest to control, if not the hardest. His strongest tools often require precise timing and inputs. If you don’t know what you’re doing with him, he can feel very limited since he doesn’t have as many easy, high-reward options as other characters. His startups are quite slow, his game plan is heavily neutral-based, and almost all of his high-damage and wall-carry combos are very difficult to execute. Because of that, I don’t really see how what Karin said about Wanko is similar to Bison.

Bison’s combos are really simple. He’s very beginner-friendly, his specials are easy, and his buttons are strong. So compared to both Bryan and Wanko, Bison is much easier execution-wise, though he still requires solid fundamentals to shine. I honestly don’t see how you thought they were similar.
