Man hates anime, hates 2d animation, hates manga adaptations, hates moe, hates anime cliches. Was handed a project and he failed, making the worst anime adaptation in 5 decades. His colleagues hate him and his name was removed from a recap of a tv show he directed.

"This Chainsaw man wasn't what we wanted to make. That's right. It's the real truth. I'm saying this as the guy who lost his temper and got into it during Episode 1, there's no question about it." - Kozuma Shinsaku

Unfortunately, there is a director behind Kill la Kill.

Or was he directing? More like he was defecating.

The man is a genius, just because he didn't play by the rules of standard anime practices and was actually a fair bit smarter cause he used cinema from all over the world as inspiration, doesn't mean he's a bad director. I would say he's one of the best that's ever done it, people who onky watch anime should watch actual movies cause we wouldn't be having these shitty debates with barinless anime watchers with empty heads.

Before calling someone a bad director, learn what good directing is.

Certainly not. Raison d'être is a pretty cool MV.

This is some of the most ignorant thing I have seen, Ryu Nakayama is great director whom was pushing animation medium forward what can be done in this medium with the full use of direction aspect like the use of lighthing colors/color palette that perfectly portrayed written story of chainsaw man through visuals very accurately, cinematography/photography that perfectly captured very cinematic style of paneling of Fujimoto Tatsuki alongside other things.

CGI was blended in with 2d very well, having very good composition. Nice trying taking things middle from the dialogue out of context and trying to overexagarate and making up things as if he was hating Ryu Nakayama.

You clearly have not seen this many manga not realizing that there are actual terrible adaptations based on manga such as berserk 2016 and uzumaki, whereas chainsaw man is very good adaptation that took full advantage of animation medium.

IDK, that said if the CSM fanbase actually thinks S1 was a bad anime adaption, then you guys are by far the most spoiled and entitled fanbase in the medium. That for sure is true. Better series like Kingdom deserve better adaptions.

I dunno, looking at the shows he's worked on:

Silent Witch is a perfectly serviceable piece of "it's fine" anime.

Barakamon is one of the best anime of the 2010s and one of my all time favourites.
