| i think yugioh would be great redubbed. DSOD and Duel Links have the old casts mostly and they do well. The only replacements would have to be: Maddie Blaustein (passed away from stomach flu) - Grandpa Muto James Cathcart (passed away from throat cancer) - Weevil Erica Schroeder (personal reasons, Megan Hollingshead is about 100 million times better) Mai Valentine |

| A FULL uncut Yu-Gi-Oh redub would be nice but it definitely feels less and less likely by the day. I'd argue GX and 5D's need it more than the original series though since those dubs were never finished even in the edited for TV versions, but seeing all 3 redubbed would be a treat. I also think that the first generation of Beyblade DESPARATELY needs a redub and it is really no fault of the actors since they were extremely inexperienced at the time and the dub is just not consistent with the philosophy of the rest of the series. It is the only generation of the series that actively tried to hide its Japanese origin by giving all the characters Westernized names (and it even extends to characters who ARE from other countries like China and Vietnam), and it just feels like a really weird entry in the franchise as a result. Kai Hiwatari is one of the few characters to retain his Japanese name. The dub also added in a bunch of random things like the announcers and Dizzy who were not present in the original Japanese version of the show. It just can be a rather jarring thing to rewatch if you are more familiar with the philosophy used in the franchise's dubs from Metal Fight onwards where they try and keep the original setting and as much of the original names as possible, and the horrible acting doesn't really make it any easier either. |

| @Tropisch You aren't even engaging in good faith as the thread is about dubs that are heavily edited from the source material, not "I don't like this actor therefore i want them replaced". What did Monica Rial ever do to you to get you that upset you want her completely erased from anime dubs? |

| Cardcaptor Sakura -- I know it has an Animax Asia dub out there, but a dub with something resembling the Bang Zoom cast from the 2nd movie would've been nice. The original "Cardcaptors" dub wasn't just sanitized, it was a true hackjob. The original Sailor Moon dub may have cut/recombined episodes and made a lot of audio/visual and dialogue edits, but at least it didn't try to make Darien/Tuxedo Mask a coequal protagonist with Serena, the way Cardcaptors did with Shaoran and Sakura. |
