I know we've had unserious stuff in the past with these fantasy elements, but clairvoyance? Seriously? Even for this show, that's more unserious than usual at least to me, I dunno. To put it into perspective, that's something straight out of fucking Sakamoto Days... SAKAMOTO DAYS DUDE. From the looks of it though, it’s not full clairvoyance, just when she bumps into someone... but still.

Anyways, glad that Mai is here to save this show as usual. God, I don't think I could've handled a Sara and Sakuta date. And right off the bat, she is NOT playing any games, clearly pushing her buttons and all. Just showing who the real waifu for Sakuta is... AS SHE SHOULD. Put this girl in her place, Mai. It's been well deserved for a while now. Anyways, something something Sakuta being able to go inside Sara’s mind and see her POV, and ofc, it’s nothing but jealousy and insecurity coming from it.

Seriously, HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO MAKE A CHARACTER THIS UNLIKEABLE AND ANNOYING... An actual achievement, I tell ya. Should’ve just let her go when she ran off, but these two are way too nice. And the cherry on top, thanks to her, they ended up late to meet Nene... I don’t EVER want to see this character again for the rest of the season.

Not even Mai or Mia’s feet at the end could save this awful arc. Only one arc left, and it’s the one that’s literally the season’s title, so I’m expecting it to finally be good, unlike everything else this season so far.

Sakuta spots a mini-skirt Santa on the website of a beauty contest that his friend Takumi Fukuyama had been browsing. However, the name under the photo isn’t Touko Kirishima, but someone else entirely: Nene Iwamizawa. Meanwhile, as Sakuta continues his search for Touko Kirishima, Sara offers her help. Having developed a symptom of Puberty Syndrome that allows her to understand the thoughts of someone she clashes with intensely, Sara already knows that Sakuta is looking for Touko Kirishima. She then suggests trying to read the mind of the mini-skirt Santa during the live streaming of a new song on Christmas Eve.

It’s crazy how little noise Ao Buta’s making this season despite it being its best season yet. Another amazing episode and great conclusion to volume 12. Kohara Konomi put her heart into that Sara confession scene. Sakuta just can’t help but make girls fall in love lmao.

What I love about Aobuta tho is that all of Sakuta’s achievements feel earned. It’s not wish fulfilment, he pulled Mai and got all these girls in love with him because he’s outgoing, intelligent, resourceful, expressive and would give the shirt off his back for others. He’s an amazing dude and just as good a catch as Mai is.

Speaking of which, Mai was savage for bragging about her relationship with Sakuta and how much he loves her to Sara lmao. It’s like she wanted to drive a stake thru Sara’s heart. This is the first time Sara’s ever been rejected by someone she had her sights on, so of course being a teenager she reacts poorly. I like that she will use it as motivation to get into a good university rather than sulking tho!

That ending is sooo cute too. The way Sakuta still gets excited about the most minute details about his girlfriend is so sweet. It’s like he’s still chasing and trying to pull mai which keeps things feeling fresh and makes her feel valued. Bro still gets hype as hell seeing Mai’s legs lol

Kinda unfortunate sara lost her clairvoyance ability tho right when we were gonna get info on Touko.. excited to see that arc really get going next week.

Futaba making that angry phone call at the end was funny.
Tho it seems like she is not the only one dealing with a student who wants to confess after the graduate.
Seems like Santa girl is still hard to understand but it seems the are closing in on helping her.

Thank goodness this Sara arc is over. I dont wanna see random students that are first-year-high-school-students at this point in the anime.

But I will say that I did enjoy the scene of Mai and Sara talking to each other in private, with Sakuta "watching". That was actually an engaging scene.

Many say that they didnt like Sara since she was a manipulative person and a beatch. Me, on the other hand, I just didnt care about her as a character since I didnt feel any connection to this random character in this new season at this point in the anime franchise, especially since shes a first year high schooler when the main cast is in college/grown-up world. If Sara had been in season 01-movies or relates to the past of the male MC or any of the main cast, then maybe I would have cared about her in this new season.

This season 02, sadly, has been a failure, at least in terms of trying to be memorable.

The only positives are the Ikumi arc due to its spookiness and how it relates to the past of the male MC, and Santa girl due to her sassy-personality and beauty.

I honestly dont care what happens to Mai in this season 02. This Mai in season 02 is NOT the Mai that stole our heart in season 01/movies, just like this Sakuta in Season 02 is not the Sakuta that also stole our heart in season 01/movies. When people in the posts in this Sara arc were gushing over the Mai-Sakuta romance scenes, me on the hand, I was like "I dont care about these 2 characters as a romance couple anymore"

At this point, 10 episodes in and 3 episodes left in this new season, I just wanna see some Santa girl beauty, and what her background is.

Seriously, you can remove both the Uzuki arc and the Sara arc, and just do some rewriting, and its as if nothing of importance was missed. This new season should have just been Ikumi arc, Santa girl arc, and then Miori arc to conclude the novels.

There it is, quantum entanglement... I knew it! (I don't).
So Sara's puberty syndrome was being able to read the minds of people she touched/bumped into, it should be the kind of thing that would make you hate people because you'll be hearing their negative thoughts, but instead she used it to tease the hell out of them because she likes the idea of being "liked", she should become an idol.
She couldn't handle the genuine love and connection that Sakuta and Mai has.. yabai onna could have turned into a helpful onna, what a timing for her puberty syndrome to be cured when Sakuta can use it to peek through Santa's mind.. I still don't get how she fell in love with Sakuta.

"Why are you still being kind to me?"
"Because that's the kind of person I want to become."

Are you listening Shoko-san/chan?? *tears up

Feet! Mai-san in a yukata is so beautiful, Sakuta you truly is one hell of a lucky man.

Oh boy. When Mai personally steps into the ring, none of the challengers can even have a chance against her, and that includes Sara.

Just by thrashing Sara with kindness, Mai has singlehandedly cured Sara's Puberty Syndrome just like that. All Sakuta did was watch and observe.

The only person that Mai really feels threatened by is Shouko, so Sara is nothing to her.

In the end, Mai got what she wanted: A Christmas date with Sakuta in a Japanese hot spring resort with nobody interfering, where she gets to splash hot spring water on Sakuta's face with her feet.

Though LOL at Mai and her manager taking the twin beds while Sakuta sleeps in the hotel suite sofa.

The way Futaba says Sakuta should take responsibility and help Kasai improve his grades to get into his first choice university, does that mean Futaba is now open to accepting Kasai once he does get admitted to his first choice?

Now I'm curious what dream is it that Sakuta saw at the end.
Authentic.

A rather anticlimatic resolution for what felt like the worst arc.
Mai's clutch is the only good thing to get from this, she really does everything she can for Sakuta.

So Himeji was looking at Sakuta 24/7?
She uses the same goal he used as counseling with the guy after Futaba, she knows what he recommends to Yamada, he knows the mini-skirt version of Kirishima (should we say Nene?), despite she being in plain clothes since a few chapters, etc
Wow, talk about stalker...

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly really enjoyed Sara's arc. It was a refreshing change of pace for this anime to deal with romantic themes, and it had an amazing resolution too with Sara being cured of her Puberty Syndrome after understanding true love. I also like how the whole "quantum entanglement" phenomenon was the same experience as Koga from S1. That must be intentional, since their arcs feel pretty similar in tone.

That scene with Mai talking to Sara about why she loves Sakuta made me tear up a little, their relationship is truly heartwarming. And they also finally got to enjoy a beautiful hot spring date together! If only we could all be that lucky...

Anyway, I'm excited to finally learn the truth about Nene Iwamizawa/"Touko Kirishima". Her mystique has been built up this whole season, so hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Finally....for the first time this season I've really enjoyed an episode. Quite a difference when Mai-San just steps up and shows who's the boss. She has full confidence in herself and her relationship with Sakuta, then uses it to completely put Sara in her place. Mai being completely unafraid of showing Sara by allowing her to use her Clairvoyance to see the love she and Sakuta have just leaves the poor girl with no way but to realize how shallow her attractions with others have been. Mai understands fully Sakuta's caring nature to the point of sacrificing himself (and her date plans) to help others and why they are together. Great how they wipe away all the insecurities from Sakuta's POV by showing how much Mai believes in him and herself.

The Himeji arc is done and I'm glad it is since I didn't really end up liking her much. She was coming off as manipulative, bratty and in the end while we ended up getting to know what her syndrome was and what she was aiming at I didn't feel sorry nor angry at her. It was just a relief that Sakuta doesn't ahve to deal with her anymore. Poor guy, can't catch a break with solving all of these girls' problems.

Mai was here to remind us as to why she's such a great character in this series. Her involvement in tagging along with Sakuta and Sara's "date" was an excellent move on her part.

It gave her an opportunity to have a heart-to-heart chat with Sara and she laid down her honest feelings as to why she loves Sakuta and showcased how strong her relationship is with him. She also said all of this to Sara in a mature and friendly way while being honest and straight to the point, which is also refreshing. Naturally, Sara did take this badly at first by running away, but Sakuta was able to find her at a bamboo shrine, where she was wearing a pretty kimono.

Their talk was tense, but at least it was resolved on a good note. Sara was cured of her puberty syndrome, which was what contributed to her earlier actions, but thanks to her talk with Sakuta, she did regain her upbeat personality and is optimistic again. It's a shame that a later meeting with Nene, or "Touko", didn't really go anywhere.

Dealing with Nene Iwamizawa is going to be difficult. Hopefully Sakuta will be in top form and can do something to help her one way or another.

Looks like some people are still convinced this season is bad, well I don’t think so, this was a good end to Himeji’s arc. Yeah I wasn’t close at all to what Himeji’s puberty syndrome was, but it did all tie back to when she originally collided heads with Sakuta so that’s cool, but damn this means she’s been watching Sakuta a lot behind the scenes, definitely quite stalker-ish but Sakuta didn’t seem to mind in the end, not sure if I could be as chill about that lol. But man was it good when Mai thwarted Himeji’s whole operation and showed her what real love is, people have been asking for more Mai and you got her in full force here, and I really like how it was Mai that solved this situation, it was something Sakuta couldn’t do alone this time.

And after being shown real love, Himeji became cured of her puberty syndrome, she was upset at first but thankfully Sakuta didn’t let her stay down about it, in the end it’s a good thing she’s cured after all, and also she has a proper view of love now, which is better than whatever line of thinking led to her trying to get Sakuta to end his relationship with Mai, after seeing what they have together that was never gonna work. So in the end, I liked Himeji’s arc quite a bit, Akagi’s is still my favorite so far but this one is probably in second place with Uzuki in last (not because it was bad, but because something has to be last lol), I’d say I also like Himeji too, I can’t blame anyone for not liking her after all she’s done but seeing that she developed here, I can say I like her, plus I enjoyed the drama she stirred. Now I wonder what the final three episodes will entail, are we going all in on Touko/Santa Claus? Guess we shall see.

And lastly, W advice from Sakuta to his student lol, tan lines will win any guy over. Also the moment with Mai’s feet in the hot spring was golden.

Himeji’s puberty syndrome has finally been cured. Hopefully, she won’t toy with men’s feelings anymore as a way of coping with being rejected.

Now the only mystery left is Nene Iwimizawa. Hopefully, that will be resolved soon as well.

In the end, even though it was brief, it was a sweet moment. Sakuta and Mai finally got to enjoy their date at the inn with the hot spring.

Yesss, finally some Mai-san x Sakuta (love) moments again. At first it was great so see Sakuta helping his students (and revealing that he wants to be a teacher) in this episode much more. That he's able to use "clairvoyance" (which is the puperty syndrome of Sara Himeji) helps him to see trough the eyes of his student. This ability could help him in a future acounter with Kirishima Touko. It was clear that she wants to seduce him (what he saw trough her eyes) and that he has to solve the problem untill christmas day (which he cannot do).

Here the second great part of the episode started, when Mai-san entered the scene. Against the future perspective, Mai-san joins the encounter between Sakuta and Himeji, so that everything she planned was cast aside.
While Himeji is upset with the situation, Mai-san and Sakuta have some moments together, mich tuns to be more and more cute. In the scene where Himeji mentioned Juri Yoshiwa and Dakutas advice to her, Mai-san was able to predict what advice he would give her. From here on it's clear again how deep they love each other (even if they haven't that much sweet moments in the closer past).
When Mai-san went with Himeji in order to find a gift for Nodoka, Sakuta uses "clairvoyance" in order to see whats happenning between the two girls. Here, Himeji initially struggles with Mai-san's charisma but manages to gather the courage to ask a question. While Himeji wants to know why Mai-san is in a relationship with Sakuta, she reveals her true feelings and explains her, what she loves about her boyfriend. This convinced Himeji in a way that she understands finally what it means to truly love a person, so her puperty syndrome starts to "heal" (as far as I understanded it).
After she ran away and Sakuta found her at the "Bamboo shrine" (where she wanted to go), she revealed that she lost her "clairvoyance". While she struggles with her feelings and wanted to be punished, Sakuta tried to be a nice and calm person for her, what was so admirable. At a result she wanted to finish school and convince him after that to fall in love with her, what Mai-san rejected because she is already in love with him.

After that Sakuta and Himeji wanted to confront Kirishima Touko at university, what ended to be nothing more than a small conversaation (where Himeji couln't help because she wasn't able to see the "santa claus"). At this point, it is clear that Santa Claus will likely be the final boss for Sakuta.

At least the episode ended with another sweet and lovely moment between Sakuta and Mai san. At the Onsen they shared a so cute "bathing scene", where Sakuta got mentally broken after Mai-san put her feets into the water (to which she reacted with water splashes). Later it's revealed that Sakuta has a quite strange dream, which seems to start / indicate the final arc of the series...

Now this was a nice episode, Finally seeing Mai step in and actually solve one of the case by herself -kinda- I really thought Mai was gonna get hurt tho, Himeji really seemed like she could shove Mai onto the road so much so I had flashbacks... Now reading the comments on last's episode thread it's clearer why Himeji had puberty syndrome. Now that it's solved is she going to end up like in a relationship with sakuta that resembles what koga and sakuta have..? And so little was reveealed today about Nene - tho she isnt nene... I genuinely don't understand why people are hating on this season and some of the arcs because they aren't exciting enough, like @oooo3333 and @IzanaSolos. Honestly, this season is better than the first one as a whole. You guys just hate because first you can't understand the characters when they're right in front of you and secondly, your brains are too rotted from gooning.
It doesn't matter if you like AoT, Monster, etc. If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom's basement, you are still an unintelligent loser.

Mai is just not as attractive as she was in season 01/movies. Shes no longer attractive.

Many posts here how they were loving her feet in the bathtub, but that scene did nothing to my libido like it did to other posts here.

MC should leave Mai for Santa girl, who is much more yummier than Mai this season
@oooo3333 on god you are at least 30 and live in your parents' basement, you porn-brained loser
It doesn't matter if you like AoT, Monster, etc. If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom's basement, you are still an unintelligent loser.
Taste in anime does not make you a better person.
