| Yeah, this was weird with the missoin. Ryo took the request but something felt off. Another thing though, I wish the monster variety is better. Goblins again? Every fantasy anime these days have them. At least Ryo has a reliable party though. |

| Animation still looked rough during the fight today, but a solid episode otherwise. About time we started getting some episodes where Ryo actually does something lol. I still think it’s crazy the villagers got upset with the first party that came out because they fought in the sacred woods, like be grateful someone’s helping you out in the first place. Obviously the hunting party meant no disrespect, but you don’t always get to dictate the battle location. Worked out in the end with Nils, Ryo and the others getting to clear out the cave and meet the town’s guardian beast. I love how Ryo is so disappointed the beast isn’t the source of the goblins and can’t fight it lol. The Fenrir mentioned that being around Ryo is very pleasant, I wonder if that’s because Ryo got isekai’d and it comes with a certain air or energy? Didn’t really advance the overall plot today, but this was important for Ryo’s relationship with his friends and some smaller scale world-building. I know the author wants to flesh out the world and I appreciate that, but with a one cour show it can feel dragged out as a result. At least we’re presumably getting Ryo and the inferno magician meeting next week? Polar opposites, wonder how that’ll go. |

| An interesting little adventure for Ryo and his friends. Strangely enough, probably one of my favorite episodes so far, I really liked the atmosphere: a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, trying to earn the villagers trust, there is a couple of mysteries to solve, some action, a few bonding moments between the party members... |

| This was a funnier episode, I like how everyone made fun of Nils and the elder made fun of Boulan and Nils. She's something of an old crab but I might not be chipper either if I were incredibly old and had evil goblins and skeletons around. I almost felt sorry for the goblins when Ryo was just freezing them then shattering them. I liked the funny song they sang after they killed the goblin general :D I didn't understand why they needed the priest to use an incantation to kill all of the skeletons, like why didn't the Elder do that since she's a far more advanced and experienced priest? Also, I'm not sure if they were intending to be funny but it was really hilarious how the purple flaming skeleton just kept repeatedly slipping on the ice and they beat him to death with ice hammers, it seemed like a video game :D I wonder why Ryo was putting thought into living with the other guys at a new house and moving out of the dorm instead of just doing it. They probably weren't going to make him sign a really binding lease or anything. Maybe he might just prefer his own place or it's possible he might miss his old house where he lived in the first episode and might want to return there although I think he prefers this town and all the friends he's made. |

| Godamn he's still D rank... wtf is the criteria for C, finding a troll and mating? Most elite squad got their assess saved by him and entire expedition would have been wiped if he would not just magically dropped in to save the day, and they still haven't promoted him. Dude even killed (what they assumed) few young demon lords (I know it wasn't) no sweat, without an incantation or anything. |

| Decent episode. Ryo’s party apparently completed the quest given to them by the guild master, to wipe out ten goblins and their nest, which included the rest of their kind, as well as thirty skeletons and their arch skeleton, which was located at the shrine's boss room. I have two questions, though. Why is it that deities and divine beings love Ryo so much? And where exactly is the elf blondie, Sera? I know Abel is heading towards Whitnash as the guild master's proxy, but I’m still confused about the first two questions. If anyone knows, please let me know, thanks in advance. |

| Saw mentioned elsewhere this episode isn't in the Manga, so filler 🤷. The story (and quality) kinda dropped off into nothing its very anticlimactic. I'm betting the inferno mage isn't going to measure up to the akuma in terms of speed or power. Show had a really nice start, but took a round about way to accomplish very little. |

This definitely felt like filler. So much so that after watching 1/3rd of the episode I've decided to not finish the rest.
I am done with filler. Life's too short to spend it with such crap. I'll see if the next episode picks up from where ep 8 left off (in the carriage). That's what I was really looking forward to.

| @uuuuno I'm not the biggest fan of filler either, but there are *some* filler arcs that aren't all bad. The Warship Island arc from one piece comes to mind just off the top of my head. Short filler like this by comparison doesn't really add much, if anything, to the story. |

| Kind of bothers me that they were in such a hurry to slay the goblins despite they were frozen solid, probably already dead. They could've just walk to them and smash 'em down but common logic doesn't work apparently xD. Interesting episode though. |
