“Thank you for everything, grandma” Came into this episode looking to be cheered up after that TBHX episode and I’m left crying again 😭 on the bright side, Uta lost her grandmother, but gained another friend with Kyutato gaining the ability to communicate! Plus, no one’s ever really gone so Uta will always be connected to her grandmother thru her music.

I actually like that we’ve had two of the girls have to deal with the loss of a loved one in this season. It’s painful, but something we will all have to deal with at some point so teaching young kids how to remain optimistic and deal with the loss is very important.

Uta’s grandmother most prized possession being the spoon Uta used as a mic when she was a little kid is so sweet. Also, the fact that Idol’s iconic song was born out of those summer trips to her grandparents’ home makes it that much more powerful. It’s a song filled with love and the joy of the happiest times of Uta’s life.

Honestly Chokkrine starting to annoy me at this point, can she get a hobby and stop ruining emotional moments lmao. Idk, I feel like some of the boss fights been a bit grating this season

So we know Kyutaro has actually been able to talk this whole time, but Uta is just now able to hear him. I wonder how involved he’ll be with the cures down the stretch in this season? Kyutaro transformation when lol. Another really good episode

Purirun brings a shovel -proceed to dig with her hands-

This episode made me think. Would be very easy to just turn dogs in Makkuranda, and if is a golden like Kyutaro, is automatic Kirakira any time.

This might sound weird, but I really do appreciate this season showing the characters crying while mourning the death of their loved ones (first it was Kokoro with her dad, now Uta with her grandma; Nana is lucky lol). Something about it gives that extra oomph when it comes to giving a character a dead relative, idk how to explain it.
(Idk if that's really common for this franchise, actually; I'm new to Precure and this is the 2nd season I've been able to find myself invested in.)

Also, hey! This episode made me kinda care for Meroron for once! That's new!

Next week's episode seems really interesting! If I had to make a theory/guess, I think Uta is finally going to try to befriend Meroron, only for Mero to let their jealousy get the better of them and somehow ends up affiliated with Team Chokkiri (because we see Meroron in a libary-like setting as well as Chokkirine in the next shot). We'll have to wait and see! Next Saturday can't come any quicker...

In any case, this episode is definitely putting on the...well, you know. "Kyūarō" does sound like it could be a call back to Honoka's dog being called "Chūtarō" in the original show. It mostly seems to be that old story about a girl and her dog. Oh yeah, and Kyūtarō is being given the Garfield treatment here, where we hear his thoughts. Thrn thefe's the fight. The Chokkiri Gang has gone too far this time, and Uta isn't going to let them grt away with it. There's a solo finishing move that...I'm guessing is meant to be a song from her heart (or somrthing like that).

Of course there's also the heartwarming moment with the time capsule, and Kyūtarō being with her all her life and how he stayed by her side when Grandma left this world. Meanwhile, this episode confirms what everyone has known from the start: Purirun is literally Meroron's only friend, and that's going to play a part in the next episode...

a little late in posting, because I got busy with gacha. Was not expecting an emotional episode, the flashbacks made me remember my kind grandma..

Uta's grandpa must be happy to see that his granddaughter has so many good friends.

small Kyuu-chan is cute! Sadly, no oven-baked chicken for him. xD

next one seems to be a conflict with Purirun and Meroron.
