 Publishing company Kadokawa opened an official website for the television anime adaptation of Takako Shimura's Awajima Hyakkei (One Hundred Views of Awajima) web manga and revealed the main staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2026.Staff Director: Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru, Cardcaptor Sakura) Character Design: Kunihiko Hamada (Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru, Nana) Series Composition: Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen, Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun) Art Director: Hideki Nakamura (Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis, Spy x Family Movie: Code: White) Director of Photography: Junko Sakai (Kanata no Astra, Mushikaburi-hime) Music: Takahiro Obata (Yakusoku no Neverland, Shoushimin Series) Studio: Madhouse Shimura began serializing the school drama manga on the pocopoco website in June 2011. The manga then switched to the Oota Web Comic site in 2016, where it ended on March 15. Oota Publishing published the fifth and final volume in May 2024. | I had already forgotten that we have a new adaptation of Takako Shimura's works ahead of us. With Madhouse taking over, I think we can at least expect a quality show. |

| The pedigree for this show is insane. Also, having read the manga, there is a very great adaptation hiding in the series. It's an anthology type format, but there are a few main characters who show up in each volume, and there is a very in-depth story spanning generations surrounding a teacher. |
