I normally would just search up anime movies on the Internet and find whatever but since my movie section on my PTW is running low and Google hasn’t provided me with much, feel free to drop whatever movie you want or can think of, whether it be Ghibli or stuff that I’ve heard but forgot and need a reminder on (The Girl who Lept Through Time, etc).

Throw in some bad ones too, do add on a little torture for me. Much thanks (`∇´)ゞ

Note: You can look through my favorites and what not to recommend movies I’ll probably like but honestly, I want this to be more like a barrel where you shove your arm into it and your prize is whatever you grab

I just watched In This Corner of the World, and I enjoyed it. It's kind of similar to Grave of the Fireflies.

Some other random movies off the top of my head:

Ninja Scroll
Sword of the Stranger
Perfect Blue
Mardock Scramble
Roujin Z (it's kind of like Akira but geriatric)
Patlabor: The Mobile Police

Not sure if you'd be into these or not, their just some random ones I've watched before

I’ve seen Perfect Blue and loved it, I’m a big horror fan especially for psychological horror while In This Corner has had my eye for some time but haven’t been able to check it out yet, will check out the rest though :)

You should check out Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. You don't have to watch the 1985 film beforehand, and it's worth watching for the visuals alone.

Other random picks:

Starship Troopers: Invasion
Detective Conan: The Time Bombed Skyscraper
Mobile Suit Gundam F91
Dragon Quest: Your Story
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st

Interesting story concept (carnivore raised by herbivore and vice versa), amusing characters, touching moments, surprisingly good battle animation.

I’ve been in that “PTW running dry” phase too, so here are a few I always fall back on. A Silent Voice and Wolf Children never miss for me, and when I need pure style I throw on Redline. And since you asked for pain, I’ll reluctantly pass you Mars of Destruction.

Ninja Scroll is definitely a certified hood classic if you want a more serious title. I miss the days of MCs being legitimate badasses.
