Its not being made by trashflix tho?? They’re not an anime studio, they’re a streaming service. Either way, hope they do the series like Vinland in the sense we get weekly episodes instead of the cringe binge model they had for Jojo Stone Ocean 😟. Either way I read the manga ig but I really hope this is good.

Its not being made by trashflix tho?? They’re not an anime studio, they’re a streaming service. I still have a pretty high expectations for this series bcs the teaser is really good. If it turns out terrible then i just don't watch it. Doesn't really matter to me honestly, maybe slightly disappointed. But it's a different story if they decide to adapt 20th CB but it's a trash adaptation, i would be mad af lol

I heard some of the staff who also worked on urasawas monster are coming back for pluto, and as someone who has loved astro boy and especially pluto for years im looking forward to seeing how they handle it.

That's not true, this anime is being produced by Genco and has a production committee, so it's multiple companies who are funding it, and Netflix might even be one of them.

Also, I'm not sure if the studio itself is on the committee, cause if that was the case, they wouldn't be paying anything to make the anime, but instead would be the ones receiving a budget to make the show.

The thing I didn't like about the teaser was that the colors were a little too bright. I didn't watch Monster but I believe it had a darker color pallete. It's funny to think this manga that I felt had a noir feel that would benefit from that when I read it has brighter colors than the kid show Astro Boy anime from 2003 🤣:

Still Netflix ain't doing anything with the productions they're just distributing it, most of Tezuka production staffs are fans of astro boy(is actually written by Osamu Tezuka the founder of Tezuka Productions) that's why they're now producing Pluto
