wait a minute what do you mean concept of time doesn't exist in interstice. That's bullshit why Mako's friends grow older then?
So Aya was just a bystander and had no power all he could do was just watch things happen.
He was an arbitrary exception whom can travel the interstice. I don't like when author makes exceptions like this one.
Anyway I don't really remember how I found this series but the plot wasn't that great. It should've been at least 20 or 30 chapters longer to explain more things.

I think the length and the story-telling were okay. Maybe a bit confusing at times but nothing that wasn't explained in the end.
About Aya, I think the author was hinting towards astral projection (that's just my hypothesis though).
If the length were to be increased, I think it would've had a less satisfactory ending. You can go on forever and ever on the topic of life and death, which is why this modest size seemed good enough to me.
The characters were simple, yet still had space for development and maturing. The background and artwork was amazing, I don't need to say anything here. The premise and the story itself was thought-provoking, something that's an important factor when distinguishing between a good and a sub-par psychological manga.
9/10 for me.

There was such a nice atmosphere in the opening 6 chapters and some other nice parts later on but honestly this series was completely ruined for me by the unnecessary rape scenes and just how certain things unfolded in general.

Hmmm, can't say I was super impressed with this one. The art was good but everything else is a hit or a miss. Didn't really care for the characters.
