| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- A conclusion as spectacular as the movie's one but with different weird powers. Lesphina/Despina's abilities in the manga seem rather convenient without looking like they justify Apollon's desire. (the movie kind of "fixed" this by making her really stand out) On the other hand, the manga stays more away from the supernatural side of the mythology and it suits it well (while the animation relied more on it, making it a bigger show for the big screen). 4/5 A great tale of passions like the lust for power, (incestuous) love and revenge in the vein of the mythologic tales it drew elements from. The mangaka's art (that some could blame as "simple") and layout shine even during the fastest action scenes. Score (overall): 7/10 |
