By "supporting" I basically mean anyone but Godai or Kyoko.

Me, I'd have to say Ibuki. She was a real firecracker who gave the series a real kick in the butt at the right time. Interestingly enough, I didn't really like her as a person, but as a catalyst for the series, she was fantastic.

Ibuki did really improve the main relationship between the main characters and helped the story advance so kudos to her.

I'd have to choose Yotsuya as well. Man, what a great character, probably all his lines were timeless, except perhaps his congratulations to Godai and Kyoko which was more of a regular person which he wasn't, so that one probably felt a little out of place.

it's a win for yotsuya too. he's epic compared to grandma godai, kyoko's family, the ichinose family, akemi, souichiro (dog and human), mitaka, ibuki, and kozue. not that i don't like the other characters but i liked yotsuya's eccentricity.

that egg episode and the photo album episodes are examples. he's a legend. and to top it all, he has the voice and the lines needed to be an anime hero. :D

I am a guy. Don't let my avatar, Yukishiro Tomoe, fool you.

Maison Ikkoku had an awesome voice cast. And Yotsuya played by Shigeru Chiba was just perfect.

Can I say everyone?

Though I really liked Mitaka. He was kind of the "bad guy" of the series but at the same time, how could you hate him? It was a realistic situation between him and Godai.

Of the inmates, Yotsuya was definitely my favorite. It's just funny because he was probably the craziest most random character in the show, but also had heart in a lot of the things he did and wanted the best for Godai and Co. And yeah, both egg/photo album episodes were unforgettable.

Ooh, tough choice. I'll go with Hanae Ichinose, she's hilarious, but also a great character, she always knew the score. It was nice that generally speaking she was rooting for Godai and Kyoko too.

And of course, Mitaka is awesome.

Yotsuya for sure, he's a mooch and he's completely blatant about it, doesn't even try to act apologetic. I kinda like that aspect of him though I'm sure I'd be thoroughly annoyed with him irl.

Pffffff Shun Mitaka of course. He's so... fabulous. He's everything Godai isn't. Plus I LOVED the whole incident (and resolution) to Asuna and the arranged marriage plot.
