I found the fact that Seiya fell twice, powered up twice, and got up twice, both dramatized, to be redundant. That and the amount of times characters said "Seeeiya". I understand it is to show the power of the group, I know its to show support, and I like that we got a cameo from Saga, but I honestly feel like this episode would have been better with half less "Seeeeiya"'s and no Saga power up. The fact the first power up didn't work, and then he got another to cover for that felt cheap. I understand thematically the support of Saga inspired Seiya and that's what let him climb, the message of "the miracle will happen as long as you don't give up" inspired him rather than a raw power up, but I view it as one in the same. I don't think the formula of Saint Seiya is necessarily a bad thing, but because I'm savvy to it I was waiting for the display of courage and self sacrifice and dialogue over one's resolve and a power up from reaffirming believes or pushing oneself to the brink for justice, and it's not like it didn't come but since it took so long it made the rest feel like padding. That was my major gripe with the episode.

I did however enjoy the scene where all the saints acted as body shields for Seiya to get the sword. It was powerful and something Saint Seiya always does well. It was a climatic scene that reminded us of all the emotional and physical pain these characters went through as they sacrifice themselves for one final push to victory. It was great. I also like the fact that Odin himself gave his cosmos to Seiya and reaffirmed him, that was slightly unexpected but awesome. I see Odin likes to wait until the end for dramatic effect, huh. Seiya not having the resolve to cut down Hilda was a nice detail since I at least took for granted the fact that all they would need was to get the sword, not figure out how to use it.

Hard to believe one of the best episodes of the series with one of its peak moments only managed to get one reply.

But whatever. The way Seiya tries on Odin's cloth after being summoned with the seven sapphires -and the design of the cloth itself- are nothing short of pure coolness. Cliffhanger is also incredible.
