I already lose all hope until that very last panel. That was.. just splendid. I never had this good dramatic story in a while. | A kind of abrupt ending, if you ask me. There were a lot of times when the pacing was really off. The juxtaposition of the past and present was quite odd and didn't work smoothly. Occasionally, I thought the characters were being a bit too stupid and irrational. There was a fair amount of redundant drama that felt cheesy and try-hard. It would have been better if the author hadn't exaggerated some of the situations so much. The comedy is pretty wack. Some of the panels were repetitive. Like, sometimes, you could barely see any change happening even after 4 panels. Some manga use it for dramatic effect, but here it's not necessary at all. However, despite all my criticism, I liked the manhwa overall. The author decently depicted the troublesome situations Gang-ho and his family had to go through, albeit they falter quite a bit. To be honest, I almost cried at the end. But again, this had the potential to be something amazing. |
