How can anyone be so mean to young Nico Robin? She’s so adorable for a kid and yet everybody called her a monster apart from maybe the archaeologists on Ohara. So it turns out Nico Robin was once a friendless person, all alone, not a family or anybody to talk to so it would seem and for whatever reason she’s sort of got a family I guess but they basically treat her like she was Cinderella. Just when I thought the archaeologists were gonna be the only people that would accept her for what she was, they deny her access to any further research they have on the island and once again remains lonely. Until a fateful day where she finds a giant much like Dorry and Broggy, washed up on the shore but unlike like them this giant, Jaguar D Saul is a pacifist who hates violence and ultimately becomes his friend which I find very heartwarming indeed.

He even taught her how to laugh while enduring pain, that’s just proof that Robin herself DOES care about the Straw Hats. Without Jaguar here, she wouldn’t have met Luffy, or indeed left Baroque Works and would’ve kept just joining and ditching people without any sort of meaning at all. But knowing that Nico Robin’s past was anything but positive something bad is gonna happen that will eventually lead to the dreaded buster call that destroyed her island whole. It’s gonna be heart wrenching but it will help me understand why Robin felt she couldn’t come back to the Straw Hats at first anyway. Not much else to say but it was another amazing episode overall.
