I'm currently going to be buying the (REAL) and not the bootleg series of Highschool DxD. I've been ripped off 3 times now on eBay by buying bootlegs (when at the time I thought they were real) but I noticed that in while in japan they have 6 volumes of high school DxD and each volume was 5,100 yen each. Now personally I think the anime had a awesome plot line (the eechi was kinda strong but made the anime funnier) does anyone know how many episodes are on per disc / and if the OVA's are on Vol 6? I'd be nice to know because I didn't get a chance to look at the case. I'm going to go ahead and import them from amazon.co.jp. Thanks in advance!

An anime adaptation by TNK and produced by Tetsuya Yanagisawa aired on AT-X between January 6, 2012 and March 23, 2012.[10] AT-X airings of the series are uncensored, while the airings on TV Kanagawa (which began on January 11, 2012) and other networks are heavily censored. Six DVD and Blu-ray compilation volumes were released by Media Factory between March 21, 2012 and August 29, 2012, each containing an OVA short entitled "Release the Swaying Delusions" (妄想爆揺解除オリジナルビデオ Mōsō Bakuyure Kaijo Orijinaru Bideo?, lit. "Release the Swaying Delusions Original Video").[11] An OVA episode (listed as episode 13) was bundled with the limited edition of the 13th light novel on September 6, 2012 on Blu-ray disc.

Just wait until they release a blu ray box for it and buy that instead.

Bootleg anime merchandise is common on ebay but if you know how to spot the signs, the number of episodes on a disc is one of them, you can buy smarter next time.

For future reference as HotD is 12 episodes an official release will very rarely be spread over less than 4 DVDs.

who are you to change this world? silly boy.

I don't even think DxD has blurays/dvd's outside of Japan... I know funimation licensed it a while back but I don't ever remember a release nor can I even find any.

The episode count, as per Japan's utter ripoff standard, will be a pathetic 1 to 2 episodes per disc. Not to mention each of those single volumes is going to cost you like $50 (US) so you're going to pay over $300 for the series? That's just insane, when you can wait for the domesestic US release and buy the entire thing for like $40.

LMFAO, thats such bs. ($50 aka 5000 yen for only 2 episodes?) Good thing they're dubbing it soon because I'm just going to pay $35 for the dubbed version and watch the original version with subs. I don't think the dubbed will be that great. They're probably going to have Rias be some really annoying voice actor. I think the only girl that might be able to pull off Rias is the girl that voices Kyou from Clannad or inner moka from Rosario + Vampire. Other than that its probably going to be really bad.
