| By specific, I mean this: I hate to go through 13 or 25 episodes of an anime with only slight notice of romance, bundled up implications or flat out lies at the end. From my recent experiences, I looked at the first couple of episodes from Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun but it turned into that thing I mentioned above afterwards. If I had to point out something near my requirements, I'd go to the School Days in terms of the MC not being entirely blunt, girls as shy as fuck and something actually happening in the romance section and not just comedy. Don't get me wrong; I'm not looking something that's exactly like School Days, just those subjects. I also liked Kimi ni Todoke to an certain extent but it really bothered me that even after 25 episodes that romance section stagnated. I haven't watched 2nd season, but still, I think 25 episodes and half a year in timeline is quite enough to kiss a damn girl. TL;DR? - - MC not entirely oblivious to everything - girls aren't shy as fuck - Romance isn't slow paced or set behind the comedy - Progression is notable every episode - Max number of episodes 24/25 Thanks in advance ^^ |

| B Gata H Kei but don't read the synopsis, it feels like shit! [EDIT] Kare kano (but... some "special" episodes) Bokura ga Ita (from what I remember, very slow but muchhhh faster than Kimi ni Todoke) Inu x Boku SS Itazura na Kiss Nana (longer, more than 1 couple, more adult since it's josei) Paradise Kiss (also josei, 13ep) Lovely Complex (if you can stand crying baby in love, take time but it's a cute romance) Still it's difficult since you want specially kiss and not shy girl!! You know, anime are made for Japanese viewers, and Japanese people are not used to kiss in front of other and to see other kissing neither... you can see it in anime, even couples in love don't kiss much!! |

| Agreed with itzura na kiss... Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. (surprisingly they are pretty blunt with physical contact, the relationship starts building upon that. There are moments when she is shy, but it's more straight forward) Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (the relationships are very complicated due to a love triangle, but it's got actual romance and overcoming obstacles) Nazo no Kanojo X (this is a weird one, I would say that the relationship that they build upon is straight forward, and even though at times they are shy there's more to it) Nozoki Ana (this is an ova that is pretty straight forward...and there's romance I suppose) I don't know these were the ones I thought of that had actual romance in it without too many shy moments and not enough relationship building. |

The girl is not shy, the MC is kind of slow but all together they fit well!! The romance is not slow paced (if it was a 24+ series maybe, but it's only 12ep) and the comedy is more about the ecchi part than the romance part! Your recommendation is "Itazura na Kiss" (me also!) but there is no real "romance" in fact! The girl almost force the guy all along, and it's slow paced and fast paced at the same time and it skip all the character evolution... not too bad anime but I'm not sure someone who want a "romance" anime can really satisfied by this one! Ano natsu... I would not say it's not fitting but... well I really didn't like this romance, specially the "harem part" and the stupid ending... but there are a lot of worse "harem" Btw, I recommended other anime than "B Gata H Kei" |
