| OK, so if it was known by Kite (and presumably at least some other expert Hunters) that the Chimera Ant queen is incredibly dangerous and capable of becoming exponentially more so via Phagogenesis, why on earth would you just leave them under quarantine and not just wipe them out? Trying to quarantine freaking ants to prevent them starting that evolutionary process seems like nothing short of an exercise in futility and like it's basically asking for this to happen. I dunno, it just kind of seems like Kite and co have been very negligent here, like they could have prevented this from happening but just didn't cos reasons. Even more so when it's already become clear just how bad their "quarantine" efforts were when the Chimera Ants have already reached an area inhabited by humans to be able to kill and consume those two kids. |

| We just started the new arc and two kids were killed. Whats worse is that they showed us a glimpse of their lives to gain sympathy (and it worked). |

| I have some theories considering they were talking about the Chimera Ant passing on characteristics of the species they eat. I'm guessing the Queen was born to an Ant that had already eaten a human (she even has human teeth) and that's why it's as big as it is. Surprised they've already revealed an actual human like Ant though, it's clearly going to go towards finding Hunters as regular humans probably won't be as tasty anymore. Just a lot of speculating so far but it's already piquing my interest, a mystery for us to unravel! |
