----------------------------------------
Didn't expect the girl to get killed off so quickly. Usually people like to drag it out. It's nicely done though and smoothly introduces the Two Years Later portion.... .

The use of the dagger was cool and a bit of a surprise as well. Surprising, because you wouldn't think he'd have to use it so soon. Once he needed to stop the people from panicking, you knew what he had to do ... he looked so badass doing it, too.

Edit: I just had a thought... that guy at the end. Wasn't it Theo? ... if it is ... wow he grew up.

Another Edit: ... wonder if Albert got his jewels cut off... there was totally the opportunity for it as the manga has already shown an occurrence of it.

Amazing chapter.

Alexiaaaa~! :<

They should castrate him, so his voice stay sweet and high, but he should have kids in the future. Maybe they will look for the girl disguised as a man for his husband? XD
And, you know? Theo is surely convinced, that Alexia and Guy killed Albert, his friend. He will try to make them pay for it :D

Yeah, I saw Alexia's death coming real soon. Things are really going to get heated now.
Theo bb u look so good. And Guy cut his hair (makes him seem more mature now, too).

Alexia's assassination is a good example for effective storytelling. The first time an arrow was shot towards Albert was the setup. The second time the reminder. And the payoff is when Alexia is struck in the heart by an arrow, killing her.

The setting includes some contradictions, namely how in a supposed matriarchy women (especially the royal family) still seem pretty restricted (they must bear heirs or they fail as queens - which is literally the same as in a patriarchy, plus all the other standards like being perfectly graceful). The explanation for this seems to be that women (or rather, Queen Laetitia) only took control recently after a war left men relatively powerless, but this kind of opens another can of worms. For the most part though, I think the weirdness of the setting is the result of that we are all used to patriarchy as the "default", so it's hard depict something like this without it coming across as cartoonish to us (especially since it's not sci-fi), whether the reader is a feminist or not.
