| According to FUNimation's website when they originally gained the rights for RAINBOW, they signed on to simulcast 26 episodes. I'm assuming this is accurate information because, from what I've heard, it seems the manga series is quite long. It's seems likely that it's going to focus on Mario's later life though, which could be okay. However, I was wondering if this was enough confirmation to change the anime's information page. It seemed like number of episodes was just about the only thing I couldn't submit a change to myself. |
| On a subbing site, they were talking it was gonna be only 13, but other sites also claim anything from 12 to 24, so nobody knows. Yea after ep11, anything more than 13 would feel unnecessary. And not that I hate Mario, but without Sakuragi, or even with him but not a focal point would feel too ordinary. I mean come on, for the first 8 episodes, we witnessed sadistic officers and perverted doctors, I cant see Marios boxing life being suspenseful. |

At that length it's definitely going to be even more slow and ridiculous than it's already been, not to mention that the main/only conflict is going to be over next episode, or maybe the one after that. It should end this season, but the company that licensed it claimed that it's going for two seasons, and I think that's more reliable than a fansub site. |

| Personally, the epic nature of the story makes me want to see the whole thing. The manga which recently concluded is 22 volumes long. That's more volumes than Monster, which got 74 episodes of anime, so ideally Rainbow could go that long to cover the whole manga. So, to me, this topic is like bizarro land, with people not even wanting 26 episodes. |
