| I read quite a few yaoi manga and VNs myself. It's a genre like any other, and it has worthwhile and well written titles too. If it's good, I don't care who characters like to fuck. If anything, characters having a different sexuality than me only make it interesting, as it allows me to experience a different point of view. |

| Yaoi doesn't make you gay and lolicon doesn't make you a pedophile. I've been watching yaoi for years and never felt sexual or romantic attraction to cis men or trans men, so it's not true that you'll become gay after watching Patalliro. And there are also many lesbians who like yaoi but have no attraction to men, so to enjoy BL, it's not necessary to feel attraction to men. |

| For where I am from, it does sound quite gay for a cis guy to like yaoi, if you had to take a guess, based on just those two facts. I would not make any assumptions about anyone's sexuality based on that though. It may be much simpler or much more complex than just this one possibility. It's a possibility that they may not be fully straight - could be gay, bi, pan, and so on. I would also not assume someone is cis-gendered. Also some people may have a hard time understanding that watching gay stuff is quite gay - I would not assume people understand all social norms and cues. On the other hand, as a queer person, I do watch cis straight romance stuff, even if it has very little to do with my own experience. As a mostly gay man presenting person who hangs out with a lot of queer people, my assumptions about people's sexualities, gender and sex quite often have been quite wrong. It's really quite hard to ever know - it's best not to over think stuff like this. In the end of the day, it does not matter what someone likes and they might not even understand themselves why they like something. If you suspect someone is queer in any way, I'd not make it known to them that you know or make a deal out of it, so they feel safe to be themselves without any kind of judgement around you. |

| BASED AND YAOIPILLED!! I'm always happy to welcome another rotten sibling (Fujoshi/Fudanshi) to the club. Sexuality is complicated, so I can't necessarily say he's gay, plus IDK what the material is. "Yaoi/gay porn games" like DMMD and Slow Damage have tonnes of plot and story value that stand on their own, so even someone not into it would consume it. That being said, people don't normally seek out LGBT content unless they inherently like it. So IDK. |
