The Fist of the North Star Day! special program announced three additional cast and a character promo for the Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star anime on Saturday. The new anime adapting Buronson and Tetsuo Hara action sci-fi manga will premiere in 2026.

Cast
Jagi: Wataru Takagi (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 4: Diamond wa Kudakenai)
Toki: Tsuguo Mogami (Shingeki no Kyojin)
Raoh: Taiten Kusunoki (Enen no Shouboutai)

The program also announced a short spin-off anime adapting Hiroshi Kurao's Hokuto no Ken: Kenougun Zako-tachi no Banka (Fist of the North Star: Elegy of the Fist King Army Grunts) manga, revealing a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to air and stream in January 2026.

Kurao serialized the spin-off manga on the Manga Hot app from November 2017 to February 2020. Coamix published the third and final volume in March that year.

Buronson and Hara serialized the original manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from September 1983 to August 1988. Shueisha published the 27th and final volume in March 1989.

VIZ Media publishes the manga in English under its VIZ Signature imprint and shipped the 17th volume on June 24. The 18th volume is scheduled to go on sale on September 23.

Produced by Toei Animation, a television anime adaptation of the manga aired for 109 episodes from October 1984 to March 1987. The second season of the series aired for 43 episodes from March 1987 to February 1988.

"What's best in life, Conan? to crush the pointless remakes/continuations past due time, see the studio behind them driven before you, hear the lamentations of Buronson and Hara that they didn't get the flow of money they were expecting"

@Catalano cgi in fist of the north star is good, also the anime is still in production. If you don't like it, just read the manga simple solution to solve the problem.

Well, regardless of this anime's visual side, it can't be denied that the voices are spot on. They fit all the characters very well.
