So one of my oldest memories as a kid was watching movies with my family. I remember getting McDonald's toys of Surfs Up thinking the idea of surfing penguins was cool. The movie was an absolute wreck. I never knew a movie of such low value aired at a theater.

To my surprise the reviews are not that bad. Lol

What was your worst movie experience?

Battle of Los Angeles and Lucy were both terrible movies, but at least I got free popcorn.

I haven't gone to movie theathers that often but among the stuff I've watched, the worst one is Gladiator II, I guess it is self explainatory. [Not to mention that in the thread I've created for this movie I've also ranted/braged about my dissapointment to it]

Messing Around on TV https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0189791/
A magic ring makes a couple enter TV and they start rolling through generic movies, variety shows. It was starred by a blond presenter that was popular with kids when I was young.
It is not terrible because another Blond actress does a topless, but it aired the same year on TV, so I could have watched a another movie.

Can't really think of one because even if the movie was bad I don't want to say that the memory of seeing it was bad. Either due to who I went to see it with or due to going to watch that movie just happened to take place on a day that has good memories connected to it

Where The Wild Things Are. Seems like it's based on a popular children's story book, but when I went to go watch the movie man it was the only time I literally fell asleep in the theaters.

The worst movie I've seen in the theater was probably Will Smith's After Earth. My one buddy is a BIG Will Smith fan and basically dragged us all along. He was the only one who even remotely enjoyed it, and I'm pretty sure he was lying out his ass, lol.

The worst movie I've seen that had a theatrical release though was 100% The Love Guru. Mike Myers deserved to have his career destroyed from that heaping pile of dogshit.

Probably one of the Twilight movies. I'd say 1, but it's the only one I didn't see in the cinema.

There's probably worse, but I don't remember it if there is.

Spy Kids, fuck that movie.

The 3d movie Grendel was a bad experience, I went to see it at a mall and was too blazed from a pot cookie so I left the theater.

Finally, I didn't like the newest Star Wars very much. I saw the first of the latest trilogy in theaters and while it certainly had some nice shots in it and had some stuff going for it, I thought the plot was mishandled. Also, not all of the acting was very immersive and some of the background details turned out to be bullshit.

To clarify, I actually do love Episodes I-III even though they get some hate, I think they still carry the original magic. I like Jar Jar and all that.

but no I don't consider episodes VII-IX to be true Star Wars films. They should have tried harder at being more like Lucas.

The F1 movie was pretty bad and that's all that really comes to mind.

I think I was expecting exactly what it was, as motorsports movies tend to be very similar, and this had every trope I was expecting, only difference was it was F1 instead of some other series.
The movie felt so much like Driven - which I actually liked more than the F1 movie.
Don't think it was demanding my money back kind-of bad, but it was it was like, I know what this is going to be so why bother paying to see it kind-of bad.

I'm hoping I don't get it as an Xmas gift, my nephew knows I like F1. I think I'd actually cry if I did lol

Probably the 2010 Clash of the Titans remake. I love the original and it's probably in my brothers all time top 3 favorite movies. He didn't want to see the remake because he thought it looked pretty bad, but I was able to talk him into going. I literally apologized to him after because of how dirty they did the absolute classic original. It was horrible. There's a chance I've seen worse, but I can't think of any.

Probably The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie. 5-year-old me practically dragged my mother to the theater to see it and I believe I still owe her an apology.
Some of you never watched Bakugan Battle Brawlers on TeleToon in 2008 and it shows.

I remember that movie. Lol
Never knew it was shown in theatres though. I thought it was ok, but definitely not a cinema experience.

Worst in theater I can remember it's a battle between Dogma, and Borat.

This was a long time ago, Borat is downright offensive and it was so offensive and awful I was embarrassed to be there watching it.
Dogma is just plain bad. It has Alanis Morisette in it when she was at the top of her career (and Matt Daemon who I always liked). I went to it with my college buddies and remember at the restaurant after they were laughing at how I wouldn't stop griping about it. I hated it.

No idea, to be honest. Must have been something I saw when I was young, because I really haven't paid for anything I'd consider bad.

I went to see Sadako DX with some friends, hoping for a good scare tbh, but it ended up being pretty disappointing.
We spent more time laughing and talking than actually watching the movie, and in the end, we even left the theater early.

I usually wait for reviews/reception to come in before I go to watch a movie in the theaters.

But, I watched The Last Jedi on opening night with some of my friends. It was total dogshit. So fucking boring.
If I had to choose between One Piece and a girlfriend...I think I'll go with One Piece

9 year old me dragged my poor mother to see Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back in theatres. Not even the first movie, it's cheap & garbage sequel, it was horrible.

Surprisingly, my mom says that was not her worst ever movie experience, rather it was Pokemon: The First Movie whenever my older sister dragged her to see that.
