Lloyd being part of a new party probably wasn't on his bingo card list these days. It seems he didn't want to join at first but was convinced to later in the episode.

He also displayed impressive enchantment and healing abilities so Lloyd is definitely far from useless. Well, at least his new party members seems likable compared to the one he got kicked out of.

What do you mean by this. He was literally looking for a new party for three days and apparently couldn't, until Yui's party literally fell right into his lap.

It is definitely strange though that the guild girl and Yui's party acted like a free white mage was impossible to find, but the MC couldn't find a party to join for that long. That said, the fact that the S rank party quickly saw how good he was just based on a simple test whereas multiple people in the hero party couldn't when they've been fighting multiple fights with him clearly means that the hero party is below S rank party, which of course makes no sense either.
