 The official website of the All You Need Is Kill anime movie announced the two lead cast on Friday. The movie adapting Hiroshi Sakurazaka's action sci-fi light novel will screen at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival as a Midnight Special on June 9.Film actress Ai Mikami is starring as the lead female character Rita in her debut voice acting role. Natsuki Hanae (Dandadan) is voicing the lead male character Keiji. Kenichirou Akimoto (Kaijuu no Kodomo CG director) is helming the movie at Studio 4°C. The movie will reconstruct the story from a different angle than the novel and the Hollywood live-action movie. Shueisha published the original light novel under its Super Dash Bunko in December 2004, featuring illustrations by Yoshitoshi ABe (Texhnolyze). VIZ Media published the novel in English in July 2009. Takeshi Obata (Death Note) drew a manga adaptation which was serialized on Young Jump magazine from January to May 2014. Shueisha published both volumes in June 2014. | The art style is very similar to devilman crybaby which everyone calls an artistic masterpiece. People would have different opinion on this anime if Science Saru or Masaaki Yuasa was involved in this project. Unlike others I wouldn't jurge this anime without watching it. I think this anime will be good. |

What in Yuasa's case is "the author's unique visuals are not for everyone", in the case of an ordinary studio it's "terrible animation", lmao. Remember how many people, including me, were salted after the announcement of the Dandadan studio. |

| @ZXEAN sorry but this is bullshit. Sure Devilman was a bit "artsy", sure, especially in some certain scenes, but it's completely different style. If anything, I wouldn't mind AYIK looking like Crybaby. |
