So glad the cowardly character actually is motivated to improve themself, that is unfortunately too rare in shounen.

Also continued positive trans rep is always appreciated.

Tsubaki pole dancing... Now I´ve seen it all.

I truly wonder how practical that roly poly move would be in real life, seems like such a funny way to drop someone lmao

Finally we got the hot ass girl from the opening and hopefully she gets a lot of screentime bc I love hearing Ueda’s voice she sounds so reserved and gentle everytime she speaks man I love her voice a lot fr😩

Loved the fight scene the animation was great and it was also great seeing Nirei finally step up even if it wasn’t much and he still needed Suo, it was still progress seeing my boy actually do something this time instead of just standing around being protected yk props to Nirei🔥💯

That pole dancing scene…I did NOT need to see that at all man haha I’m more of a “I like girls” kinda guy so that wasn’t much cup of tea but I’ll admit the animation was looking great tho with the purple lights and stuff, I guess that scene was for the girlies so I’ll let them enjoy since girls barely enjoy fanservice in shonen anime💀

I had a feeling that the woman would have relevance in this episode, because generally speaking in anime, they won’t have the camera on some unknown individual if they don’t have any relation to the current or future events in said series. Since this is a shorter series, I had a feeling it would come into play in this specific episode.

This is the first time that we see Haruka, Akihiko, and Hayato in casual clothing rather than their Furin uniforms, and it’s a fresh taste visually. It seems that no matter where these guys go, they have to be ready for a fight. It’s almost like if they’re not home, they’re throwing hands, and Akihiko surprises me here. Turns out he’s been training with Hayato, which explains the extra bandages, but so far the only move he has is the “Rollie Pollie”, which is effective to an extent. If he faces someone who doesn’t immediately go for the face, that won’t work. Hayato will likely go through Step 2 soon enough, but I wonder if Akihiko will end up becoming a powerhouse in his own right.

Haruka has obviously grown more because he entrusted Shizuka Narita’s protection to Akihiko and focused on clapping everyone else’s cheeks (NO HOMO), and he even copied the dodging technique in his own unique way. Been a while since we’ve had a classic gang beatdown like the first episode.

Once that was settled, we’re introduced to Kanji Nakamura, Shizuka Narita, and the Roppo Ichiza, who used to clash with Furin in the past before their unification. It seems these guys have a connection with Tasuku and him and Shizuka work at the same pub on Keisei Street. In fact, TASUKU IS A F***ING STRIPPER DANCING ON A STRIPPER POLE! BRO WHAT IS THIS?!

We’ll learn more about this in the next episode. I’m curious about Tasuku’s relationship with Shizuka…

That Entertainment District looked like fun.

Sakura and his friends are still amazing, kicked some ass without breaking a sweat. Poor Nirei, he seemed like the most vulnerable in this episode. Sakura's reflexes were pretty imprssive imo. Ofc, this episode would have some rough fights again and that new girl is caught in the middle of it.
@Stark700 It's called the Red Light District, not the Entertainment District.

Shizuka wasn't caught in the middle of it, she was the initial target.

30 grown ass men vs 3 high schoolers. Who would win? 😂 Had forgot this was even an action series because we’d had so many wholesome episodes back to back. As usual, Cloverworks cooked today and I’m so proud of Nirei for coming into his own as a fighter. This felt like his coming out party.

Cool to see another part of town in Keisei street it looks so lively, almost like a Takeshita street in Harajuku. Too bad we couldn’t see more of it because of the dudes chasing Shizuka. Must be real tough guys to send all those dudes after one girl 🤦🏽‍♂️.

I loved Nirei and Suo’s training arc sm. Nirei’s come such a long way from the scared kid we saw in the KEEL arc. He might not have it all together yet, but he’s getting there and I’m so happy for him! It’s sweet how much of an impact Sakura has already had on the rest of the group and he doesn’t even know it.

It’s pretty dope Sakura and the boys may have just ended a longstanding beef between Furin and Roppo Ichiza now that they helped out Nakamura and his crew lol. Nakamura seems cool af and I feel like they could be older brother figures to a lot of the Bofurin gang!

Tsubaki pole dancing?!!! Hello???! Cloverworks really wanted to flex their muscles in this episode, nice mix of slice of life, wholesome and action. Exactly what makes wind breaker so good. I love this series and these boys sm. can’t wait for next ep.
@Marinate1016 According to Akihiko's explanation, Roppo Ichiza and Furin unified, so there wasn't any beef prior to this interaction.

Sakura makes it clear that you don't have to fight, or even look cool, to be friend with him. But when you're a friend of someone as great as him, you can't help but be inspired by him. Inspired to look cool, inspired to be able to fight.

And I kinda hope Sakura will be inspired by Tsubaki to be a pole dancer, but he doesn't seem to be inspired though (unlike Nirei).

The episode name "night district" makes me expect something like Sakura doing a stripping dance in a bar host club, so I'm disappointed that it's not heading into the direction that I want, but I'm not disappointed in the production quality, which is as good as usual.
@phantomfandom I really hope we don't see any of the boys engage in dancing on the stripper pole. It was already enough seeing Tasuku do it, HELL NAH BRO.

I asked for more action, and I got it, but I'm still annoyed...

They had to fall back on "rescue a woman in distress" yet again. How many times has it been, since Season 1?

It's also the same pattern of demolishing like 30 goons, who were all chasing after the one woman (for what reason, and why that headcount? They never say).

This time it's a bunch of adults, Yakuza thugs, no less...

At least there's been a change in setting and new characters, so I'm interested in what they get up to.
@perseii I disagree.

It was amazing seeing the crew beat up an entire group, especially with the way that Haruka and Akihiko have changed, along with introducing new lore in regards to Furin's history with Roppo Ichiza, and getting into other aspects of the world of Wind Breaker.

This episode was AMAZING!

@Spoof_490 Nope. I went back and checked.

- Kotoha got rescued twice in Episode 1.
- Nirei stands up to some goons harassing a shop clerk, gets beat up for it before Sakura comes to the rescue.
- That chill pink-haired guy rescues a random girl getting harassed, and the whole crew has to fight off the goons later.

That's just the ones I found. That's not to mention the middle schoolers that Sakura rescued, which kicked off the entire Shishitoren arc.

Almost every event in the story started off with some girl getting rescued. I mean, come on... They couldn't come up with some different scenarios?
@perseii The Shishitoren one was a middle schooler BOY, not a "woman in distress".

Not to mention that all these situations have nuances to them that don't make them equal in the slightest.

Wind Breaker's battle choreography remains elite! Nice to see that Nirei's been trying to improve in his own way by having the helpful Suo train him.

Shizuka falling out of the sky like that is always an interesting way to meet a new character. A great coincidence that her and the Roppo Ichiza group she's with belong to the pub that Tsubaki wanted to meet Sakura and company at.

CloverWorks did an excellent job animating that Tsubaki pole dancing scene! Fun way to end the episode.

Sakura, Nire and Suo finding themselves in the red-light district of Keisei Street, where a woman running away from a gang is soon visited by the trio, then to be confronted by the gang themselves. Of course, just Sakura and Suo would suffice, but Nire needs his moment (which Suo definitely came for him), though he's still not at that point of defending for himself for Suo to give him his training. And that training accumulated in the night street, where Nire at least took some effort for his first bout.

However, it's the appearance of Kanji Nakamura that shrivels in the face of the woman Shizuka Narita, which they worked their misunderstandings out with the trio, and if anything, Sakura gets all embarrassed about things like love. Though this time, they find another group of people who are on Kanji's side, as they represent the famous group Roppo Ichiza of Keisei Street. Shizuka's affiliation with Tsubaki, however, as pole dancers, it's definitely a new sight into who one of Furin's leaders are.

Nire still has progress left to go, but he's getting there.

It feels like the author decided he needed to pander to a certain audience rather than tell a cohesive story. Why is an entire arc of this show dedicated to one cross-dresser? We get it, live your life, don't judge others, stop hitting us over the head with the same dull SJW quotes.

was a decent episode, didn't expect to see a Nirei development and I liked it, but wtf was that ending?! I'm starting to doubt if this is a show about fighting or about masochist degenerate men, so unnecessary and gross.

Nice to see some action again even if it was a bit ridiculous with 2 high schoolers beating up a bunch of older guys (guessing 20's and 30's), looks like they aren't good fighters. Speaking of those guys, I don't think it was explained why they were after that girl but it sounded like they were extorting her, hopefully it will be explained later.

On a side note it was nice to see Nire get motivated to learn to defend himself and fight.

Cross Breaker is simply morally bankrupt at this point. Teaching people to love themselves is great, but showing in a positive light a teenager who engages in sex work while attending high school is not very laudable... Episode 6 is ruined now.

Great animation but the endless blushing of Sakura and the unsubtle story are getting boring at this point.
@Meusnier He's 18 although I do think it's weird the other 3 freshman really pulled up there.
