Yes, that's the thing about Kazuya and Medaka. No character development and Medaka did have which was the White Day part but he then regressed back to how he was in the beginning. Literal mid but this is sad something I've been reading since 2023 and the only reason I am still reading it is cause of Minami and the cute art.
| @CheliosX I don't think the author wants to focus on Medaka's character development. The focus is on the girls and the girls alone, which is honestly fine for me. While I do like it when they focus on the main guy like Kaguya-sama and Horimiya, I don't mind these ones where it's basically cute girls doing cute things but a rom-com. Kinda feels like the equivalent of trashy isekais that I keep watching. Edit: I can't stand Kazuya though, he looks like a simp, is a simp and just has a terrible art style. |
| To be honest I did not like the show at all, Mona just seemed like yet another airhead and not worthy of anything but disdain. Until Asahi came along and suddenly things started to get better and the show became more watchable. For me it was a definite shift in the story and it became just a tad bit more watchable. I still wont rate it more than a 6 though, the irritation value is still too high. 2nd season? I may watch it, but to be honest I suspect it will be predictable and more of the same. |

| It's time for the real love war between Asahi and Mona now that both of them assume their love for Medaka. Also that panty shot ahaha RIP the little brother's iPad. Overall the show was fun to watch but it's a very meh adaptation, I've been liking the manga for years but the strongest point is its cute and detailed art style, while the anime looks so low budget sometimes it's just pointless sadly. |

| I'll say that this show is mostly trash. Mona for the most part was trash, Medaka's "friends" were trash, Asahi being an agressive kuudere, the Powerpoint level animation, and so on. However, this was my guilty pleasure show of the season(Medaka, late episode Mona, and Tomo were the only saving grace), so I'll probably watch season 2. |

| In the end, I'm not fond of the character designs as it feels like the quintuplets anime copy paste when it comes to the girls', but focusing on the main characters, Mona and Kuroiwa, the series is just passable. The supporting cast: Tsubomi, Shou, and Tomo's makes this series worthwhile to some extent. No comment on Asahi. P.S. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

Hey bro, I'm at chp 155 now and I have some things to say. To be honest, I like the idea of girls trying to win who rejects them but I think there are way too many girls and couples involved. Like, 4 girls for medaka, now Mona's brother will have a romance(I suppose), even then there is Haruno and the other boy... If mangaka manages to process all these relationships properly, then this manga will enter my top 10 for sure..

I just think it is bloody hilarious how some entitled fans sound like they got screwed by a steel dildo because it gets more episodes. I mean, if you don't want more, just don't watch it. Finished. Not gonna sugarcoat it, but Mona was one of the worst FMCs I’ve seen in anime like this. She was completely useless the entire season. Her snobby attitude and narcissism were straight-up rage-inducing. Like I said at the start, she basically had the whole school in the palm of her hand, yet she embarrassed herself and degraded herself for one guy just to turn him into her simp. And after that? Who knows what she was even planning, but it was obvious she was gonna fall for him. Medaka might be a dummy, but his “religion” doesn’t allow affection for women, so at least his cliché escapes make sense. Anyway, the ending was original, but they adapted up to chapter 44. I read a bit beyond that, and honestly, it doesn’t change anything. This is one of those dragged-out stories that just stress you out when reading. There’s enough material for like three more seasons, but if they make them, I’m skipping. One season was enough for me. Score: 6.5. |
| Once again, if the roles were reversed, everyone would be flipping out and calling out the sexual harassment. But since Mona is a cute girl, no one says a peep I guess a good finish to the season. This shit was so ass. Disappointed this is getting a second season, how and why? It was way too much fanservice, way too many annoying characters, and everything was so forced. 4/10, I can't believe I forced myself to watch this shit. |

| A sick episode for both the main characters (and in the same season) isn't something that happens often, probably. So, Japanese theme parks still have public speakers for kids getting lost... Good. On the other hand, rest in peace little brother's tablet, with the surprise of Mona having a little brother to begin with and almost teasing a mother face reveal. Too bad she accidentally had to zoom in that part of her body in front of him... But she didn't seem messy even in poor health and even her eyecatch face was amusing as usual. Even if the hard to think suspension of disbelief that a girl like Mona (still the best character with no doubt for me) is able to fall for someone like Medaka, this show was enough entertaining to watch even if it added probably nothing to the table of romcoms, so 7.5/10 and will return for a second season that i wasn't giving for granted (and even if there are more Anime series of the same genre that unfortunately stopped at one or two and deserved more) |

| Finally finished watching this. A lot of it felt repetitive, and it definitely would've been better condensed into 6–8 episodes instead of dragging it out to 12. Mona eventually realizes she's fallen for Medaka—but that development takes the entire season. Medaka, for his part, clearly finds her cute and is attracted to her, but he’s been uninterested in a relationship from the very beginning. So, on that front, there’s been zero progress. Sure, he’s a bit less shy now and can communicate more openly, but the pacing is just too slow and bloated. Anyway, I’m just glad it’s over. The fact that they announced a Season 2 is kind of insane. It’s average in every way—and maybe that’s exactly why it’s getting a sequel. |
| Well, I never expected the final episode of the season to feel so normal—in a good way. The past few episodes were so insufferable that I can only thank myself for sticking it out till the end. The only reason I enjoyed the earlier episodes was the fanservice and the funny moments, hoping the plot would eventually kick in—well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Still, I appreciate the front focused panty shot. I was wondering if we'd ever get a proper front panty shot, since the whole season mostly featured back-angled shots, breast shots, and the occasional sneak peek from the front. The entire anime's plot has just been looping for the past 11 episodes, so with a new season coming and Mona finally realizing her feelings for Medaka, I’m not sure how this will play out. Hopefully, they won’t serve another braindead plot under the label of romance. |

| Gotta admit this anime was fun on the early episodes but the antics will tick you off specially if you know what will happen if the gender role were reversed anyways It's kind of weird that the author didn't give the MC the chance to tell mona-chan that he is a monk in training so that there wouldn't be any further misunderstandings but then again that would end the show way too quick I guess japanese mangakas do like their misunderstandings trope and tsundere stuff so the author let it cooked and possibly do it later on. having said that I'm not too sure If I'm looking forward to see the second season of this so only time can tell. |
| If this MC was in an NTR doujin he would get cucked 10 times already in the first episode alone by the lowest dude available in the class and FMC would have easily moved on with someone else man what a weak annoying MC this one , hope there won't be a second season to this |

| I actually liked how this ended despite the mediocre other 11 episodes, I'll gladly watch Season 2 after Mona realizing her feelings and becoming a proper rival to Asahi for Medaka's attention |
