Light Novel 'Kanpekisugite Kawaige ga Nai to Konyaku Haki sareta Seijo wa Ringoku ni Urareru' Gets TV Anime in 2025
 A television anime adaptation of Kouki Fuyutsuki's Kanpekisugite Kawaige ga Nai to Konyaku Haki sareta Seijo wa Ringoku ni Urareru (The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom) light novel was announced at the 10th Anniversary Memorial Festival! Overlap Bunko All Star Gathering Special event Part 5 on Sunday.E-commerce company DMM.com simultaneously opened an official website, revealing the anime's main staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), teaser promo, and 2025 premiere. Voice actress Yui Ishikawa (Violet Evergarden, Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu) is starring as the protagonist Philia Adenauer. Staff Director: Shuu Watanabe (Shinobi no Ittoki, IDOLiSH7 episode director) Series Composition: Keiichirou Oochi (5-toubun no Hanayome, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) Character Design: Shuuhei Yamamoto (Kakushigoto, Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau) Studio: TROYCA (Aldnoah.Zero, Atri: My Dear Moments) Fuyutsuki penned the fantasy romance novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from July 2020 to January 2022. Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Novels f imprint in April 2021, featuring illustrations by Masami. The sixth volume went on sale on June 25. The light novel has a cumulative 1.5 million copies of its volumes in print. Overlap's Comic Gardo platform began serializing a manga adaptation by Mago Ayakita in November 2021. The fifth volume shipped on June 25. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in September 2024. The first volume of each is planned for a February 4 and February 11 release next year, respectively. Synopsis Philia hails from a family renowned for producing generations of saints, and she is no exception. In fact, she is known as the most powerful saint of all time, so extraordinarily gifted that many people find her insufferable. When even her fiancé decides he can't stand her, he suddenly calls off their engagement. He's so eager to never see her again that he sells her off to a neighboring country in dire need of a saint of their own. Now, Philia readies herself to face the unknown, fully expecting more miserable treatment. After all, she'd be a fool to expect anyone to welcome her with open arms...right? | Judging by the synopsis and cover of the first volume, the new otome LN? I just don't understand why people call it isekai if the synopsis doesn't even say anything about rebirth. UPD. Those who complained about the lack of josei, rejoice, the internet says it's a josei title. |
