 Production company VAP opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Taiga Miyakawa's Tasuuketsu manga on Friday. The website revealed the production staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and an announcement video. The series advanced to the third round and ranked tenth in the final voting. The serialization officially began on Ura Sunday U-2 League in September that year before transferring to Ganma! magazine in April 2015. Micro Magazine shipped the sixth volume in December 2020. A seven-minute original video animation produced by IMAGICA Lab. was released in January 2021. Synopsis The story follows a group of five in a world where people have suddenly disappeared. A mysterious self-proclaimed "Emperor" gathers five people together through anonymous messages and has them participate in a game. Participants answer the question "Do you want to live or die?" The game has only one rule: "Majority dies." | + Plot might not be the most unique but deadly games are my thing. Studio is a mixed bag (albeit I haven't seen any of their new works), but has spawned some decent original stuff in the past. - Has a heavy shounen/super power outlook over the psychological tone. The manga has been publishing for more than a decade and I'm not keen on the art style. |
