Sanemi is among the best because he genuinely made me cry, and at the end of the manga, he headpats Nezuko, who reminds him of Genya. Despite this, Giyu is the most developed of the Hashira beyond simply a tragic backstory, but how his loss defined his character flaw of self-loathing and outright depression. Muichirou also has an arc, but the strength of it for me hits harder because f it’s contrast to Kokushibou’s backstory and motivations rather than simply him.

i think the best written are Sanemi, obanai, muichiro and giyu.
the" worst" written are mitsuri and tengen. they are not bad written at all but i just didn't feel the same as for sanemi or giyu.their pasts made them cold, suspicious. tengen and mitsuri are more open. I'm not saying they have to be cold to be good but we are more attached to these characters. mitsuri and tengen are more like suns and the other 4 are moons waiting for us to look up to them.
